Күн бұрынJames Innell Packer, better known to many as J. I. Packer, was one of the most famous and influential evangelical leaders of our time. He died Friday, July 17, at age 93. We honour his remarkable life and ministry by reliving an interview when he was 80 years of age.
Packer, was an English-born Canadian evangelical theologian in the low-church Anglican and Calvinist traditions. His last teaching position was as the Board of Governors' Professor of Theology at Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia, in which he served from 1996 until his retirement in 2016, due to failing eyesight. He is considered one of the most influential evangelicals in North America.

Packer was one of the first theologians, after Scriptures and Spurgeon, that I read with utter enjoyment. If you can find any of his writings, I would suggest that you read them to learn more about His Word as he was a great theologian, now at home with the Lord.

It is very heartening to note that he enjoyed writting and teaching the word of God. What a great man of God that he was?. Thanks be to God that he wrote the book more than a half a century ago titled Knowing God. Surely millions of souls would have been transformed by it. RIP to J.I. Packer.
