J. Krishnamurti - Brockwood Park 1984 - Conversation with Ronald Eyre - Can Fear Be Completely Wiped Away?
Summary:
This conversation has a light and open quality that belies the depth and
subtlety of its subject and its far-reaching content. Beginning with the seeming inconsistency between work and play, the conversation proceeds to dig deeply into questions of living, dying and loving.
Ronald Eyre (1929-1992) was a theatre and television director, actor and writer
who held a long-standing interest in theology and religion.
I am forced to concentrate in the office and the job forces me to distraction.
Distraction is not the same as play. There is a cycle of fear.
Do we do anything that we love? Am I afraid of life?
What is death, ending? You cannot look at something with your whole attention
if there is an idea about what it should be.
Why is there a tremendous craving inwardly? What is the relationship between
love and death?
What is the root of fear? Why does thought enter into the realm of the psyche?
What is creation that is not born out of knowledge?

The role of the foundations was described by Krishnamurti when he said, 'The foundations will see to it that these teachings are kept whole, are not distorted, are not made corrupt. They will not give rise to any sectarian spirit in their activities... nor create any kind of place of worship around the teachings or the person.'
We maintain extensive archives of Krishnamurti's original works and all four Krishnamurti foundations are actively engaged in the publication of material in various forms.
Our videos contain thousands of subtitles in more than 25 languages, translated by volunteers from all over the world. If you would like to help us with translating subtitles, please contact us at digital@kfoundation.org

I heard many saying...JKs philosophy (if you can call it a philosophy) - few are intellectual enough to grasp. I beg to differ. He is the easiest one to understand. Others just cloaks themselves with their double talk and keep you guessing. As if they are playing with my weakness rather than showing me my weakliness as the fact!

Great sir I too have found him so easily understandable.... provided, of course, you listen to him with a MIND that's tabula rasa, a clean slate.

The tree doesn't ask that. The tiger doesn't ask that question. It say "It says, I'm living". It came all of a sudden and hit me like a battering ram.

it's amazing to see Krishnamurti dealing so very gently with his conversation partner, this "man-boy" and his restless "grasshopper-mind". K is just is just so caring, gentle in fine harmony with that man. ✨✨✨

Often when Krishnamurti speaks to this so called famous people there is no real meeting, but he manages anyway to deliver a good speech. Then we have also somebody like David Bohm who is able to meet him and contribute to the conversation,so that the dialogue may get enriched.

"..Imagine there's no heaven It's easy if you try No hell below us Above us only sky Imagine all the people Living for today.. Imagine there's no countries It isn't hard to do Nothing to kill or die for And no religion, too Imagine all the people Living life in peace...You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us And the world will be as one .. A brotherhood of man Imagine all the people Sharing all the world..".Except it's not imagination nor dream, but absolute truth tirelessly pointing out by our sage. thank you K and friends.

@@winniethuo9736 yep we already Are one species se do not have to do anything to get conected we already Are but when we try, thats What makes us separated. What we are doing Is asking how to be quite. Do u see the absurdity of it ? ASKING how to be QUITE. ASKING how be QUITE. ASKING - QUITE

K had to empty himelf a lot, in order to do this conversation with a common person. We perceive he is trying to keep the conversation alive for the video. The man is already tired by the middle, so, K. keeps shooting his best arguments, like "what is time ?" "Is there a psychological becoming ?" "The end of fear", etc... The most awkward moment was when K. told that story of a rich man which was dying, but wanted to keep his money to the end. K. expected the guest to be appalled, but the man replied exactly on the contrary by saying something like "wonderful last thought" ( My goodness !!! ). K. is trying to be kind and keeping the conversation to the end, but sometimes, I think he´s thinking "My goodness, what am I talking to this man ?" It´s like talking to a child !

Or as Eyre doesn't come across as an idiot he was being ironic. But you are apparently on a much higher spiritual and intellectual level yourself ;-). By the way Eyre was a well respected theater and movie director. So wether you would call that 'common' or not is ofc up to you. Or rather one could ask if there are any un-common men?

why are they cutting parts of JKrishnamurti's videos, exactly what is it that KFT itself doesn't want to show or what is it actually doing with K's work?
