Our journey continues in this episode with us leaving the vibrant city of Osaka. After a 40 minute JR train ride, we step into Kyoto's cultural wonderland, beginning our adventure with a warm reunion with Jed's longtime friend, Linda, and her beautiful family.
Our first stop is the iconic Fushimi Inari Shrine, where we walked the famous Torii gate pathway, immersing ourselves in the spiritual beauty that defines Kyoto. Refuelling our energy, we dive into an incredibly delicious lunch at CoCo Ichiban for some outstanding Japanese Curry.
From there, we ascend to Kiyomizu-dera, a UNESCO World Heritage site offering panoramic views of the city and a glimpse into Japan's architectural marvels. As the day winds down, we indulge in a mouthwatering Japanese BBQ dinner, savouring the unique flavours and communal dining experience that this food adventure brings.
The next morning, we kick off with an early Shinkansen ride, whisking us away to our next adventure in the bustling metropolis of Tokyo!
