Because Jurgen was never sacked he’s never really had a break. Even between Dortmund and Liverpool his “holiday” was meant to be a year but was a few months as he accepted fsgs offer. He has burned himself out for us giving us the times of our lives. What a man! God bless Jurgen.

Great point. From playing into management and never having been sacked is mad to think about. How does the man have any life?

I think it was the right time for all parties. Klopp has looked exhausted for a while now and our tactics have become a little stagnant. Klopp will forever be a legend for this club, but we must go on. Arne Slots army next season, can't wait.

Don't agree on the tactics (was still changing things and experimenting this season?) But defo agree on the exhaustion and probably time to go 👍

Clinical finishing is what we lacked, not tactics.

Jurgen has to be forgotten [largely] and forgotten quickly in order the next guy can take over seamlessly and without the ghost of jurgen tagging him every fookin' day of his working week. The king is dead...long live the king.

Significant moments - No one ever brings up the Arsenal away 4-3 win first game of the season where we went behind then absolutely DESTROYED them for 30 minutes and went 4-1 up. An early indication of what was to come and actually meant we overtook them that season and ever since until now of course

Hopefully Klopp to Slot is a reiteration of Shankly to Paisley.

Completely different. Paisley wasn't new. He had been on the journey with the team from the start. There was no strangers taking over. Trust me this will be a shock to the team. It will take a while

A great man, who orchestrated a lot of great memories and will be sadly missed. But for as much as he acheived his ultimate downfall came from relying for success on a relatively small number of excellent buys. His record in acquisitions was mixed, to say the least. Too many misses to be able to build truly successful and all conquering squads to out do City, and for that matter Real. Here's just a selection of the less successful major buys and free transfers, some more disastrous than others, in chronological order; Grujic, Karius, Klavan, Manninger, Solanke, Keita, Shaqiri, van den Berg, Adrian, Minamino, Tsimikas, Thiago, Kabak, Nunez, Arthur, Szoboszlai, Endo and Gravenberch. There are also younger players like, Caulker, Lonergan, Pitaluga, Scanlon, Gordan and Ramsey that have not made any meaningful mark. The one thing you can say about Klopp is he did well with the resources he assembled and better than almost all others given the same situation, which is evidence of his great tactical and man-management skills. But if he'd had better judgement in who was best for his purposes he could have achieved more, in spite of his obvious team management skills, and if successful may not have suffered with the obvious pressures he was under in his last two seasons and therefore may not have chosen to leave so soon. He will be remembered as one of the all time great Liverpool managers but not great world managers for his inconsistent choices and lack of ruthlessness in showing loyalty where it is not justified.

I’m a remote fan. I watch Liverpool from a distance but Jurgen Klopp and the rise of fan produced media has shortened that distance. It’s been an incredible ride. Thanks for everything that Juergen has done. Now that the sadness of has lessened, I’m grateful for Jurgen and everything that he has spearheaded. I’m also thankful that Jurgen has been able to exit stage left, rather than get hooked off. I wish him nothing but the best.

Paisley followed the man nobody thought could be followed with the same success and we all know what happened so Slot got the chance to capitalise from the health Klopps left our club in. All he has to do is concentrate on the team because nothing else needs touching. We keep the belief . YNWA

He isnt tired, they must think were stupid, hes obviously had a big fall out with fsg just after the Cassimiro bollox. Salah would have left if he knew of Klopps decision. Then we see mr moneyball and co back. And then refusing to compensate Sporting for Ruben Amorim who was our best option and main target. The club is toxic with lies and cover ups. Its different I suppose if you're lucky to have special dispensation and access. Slot is third choice. Pacification complete.

Wow, a very hard-hitting but absolutely fair comment. Don't forget also that his announcement came at the tail end of another fruitless January transfer window, after we'd been playing Mac in the 6 and expected a top DM to come in. It also came after FSG decided to go ahead with the documentary, after Klopp had always said 'over my dead body!'
