I miss those days when there was a position called stopper. In germany in the 90s we called them "Staubsauger" Vacuum Cleaner. The best Staubsauger I ever played with was Vanessa Martini. Yes a girl. She went on to play in the Bundesliga. I loved those tackles with her.. 12 years old she made sure you eirher bleed or go home hurting 😅

sin duda el mejor stopper de su generacion, como olvidar sus lagrimas cuando se retiro de activo con el Dortmund, una anecdota de Kohler, en la euro 96, la banda de capitan antes de inciar el torneo seriia para Klinsmann, pero el no estaba de acuerdo ya que la tradicion es que el capitan de la seleccion sea el juagador con mas presentaciones con la seleccion, y como Lothar no fue convocado debido a que aun no estaba al 100% de una operacion, la banda de capitan seria para Kohler en la euro 96, pero como el destino es a veces caprichoso, en el primer juego del torneo contra la repubilca Checa, a los 15 minutos de juego Kohler se lesiona los ligamentos cruzados de una rodilla, y la bamda de capitan pasaria a Juergen Klinsmann

Thank you for this valuable video of Jürgen Kohler! He played from Euro 88 to 98 World Cup in a row as international competitions and won the 90 World Cup and the Euro 96. This is perfectly same with Jürgen Klinsmann. Even Kohler won the champions league in 1997. Although he was sent off in his last game 2002 UEFA Cup final against Feyenoord and his last appearance was really sad for many German fans, he must be historic footballer for Germany.

Sergio Ramos never played the Europa League. All the other trophies, he has it. 4 UCL, 2 Euro, 1 World Cup, 4 FIFA World Cup, 3 European Supercup. 680 games with Real Madrid, 170 games with national team. And 121 goals. He deserves a mention.

Sia Stam che Koheler , sono stati in assoluto tra i migliori interpreti del ruolo di difensore centrale e stopper due fuoriclasse .Ambedue : potenti , veloci , reattivi, abilissimi sui palloni alti e tempestivi nelle chiusure e negli anticipi ..Efficaci anche nelle conclusioni a rete , freddi ,determinati impeccabili ma anche un po' catatterialmente tirati .

Oh, so this is the best youtube soccer channel. I think I had heard of Jurgen Kohler (probably because of the 1990 FIFA World Cup), but I would not know he was such a good player and he is so victorious (World Cup, Uefa Champions League, Bundesliga, Serie A, League Europe, etc), if not for this video. Today I watch the video every day from the first day I saw it. The channel is special because it shows all the great players, even those that do not have 'brand'. Another great video!

All the men he tackles just go on playing. Today they would roll on the floor acting poorly how they've been fouled. So whether this legend shows what it means to be really perfect in defending or the players of the past had honor and dignity. I assume both is true.

As you maybe will know, I've already made a video about him. Obviously in his video were shown some of his relevant skills, including goals, tackles, because he was a complete player, but for a great player like him is never enough to describe his qualities. Anyway, as you say, would be amazing a work, but at the moment in the future I prefer to dedicate videos to other players (like Kohler :)) instead of focusing on one player, but maybe I will change my mind! What is certain is that it would be nice if someone dedicates a yt channel to him, as is already the case for many great players (Pelé, Ronaldo, Batistuta, Maradona...)
