I think I'll have to pick this up - I'm studying at the University of York, York being, of course, the modern name for what the Vikings called Jorvik.

Jorvik is actually near where I live, on the Swedish westcoast, but then it became York and then New York, kinda cool when you think about it :)

It's Mjölnir, Thors hammer. Fun game, got this from Essen and liked it right away, its a retheme from spierstadt but I prefer Viking theme so :)

Good game design, although I liked the theming better/more unique in Die Speicherstadt. But ultimately it's too mean for me, too tense, and too mathy.

Didn't Tom really dislike the Speicherstadt? I'm surprised his opinion changed here.

Speicherstadt is only the half board - Jorvik is a half game with is, in his opinion. The other half is the expansion. It really makes the game.

winnie666 I wouldn't say that. The expansion gives you more options, to be sure, but I don't think it's going to suddenly make you like the base game more.
