Die Mehrstimmigkeit und die Verschachtelung der Stimmen ist das Besondere an Bachs Musik und macht sie unvergleichbar. Für mich der schönste Komponierstil überhaupt.

St Thomas Leipzig, I presume. It shows that Bach sought no great riches in the world beyond. To live in faith was enough

J.S. Bach knew what his value was as a top musician and was able to get what he requested from his employers.

Bach's music has greater depth than the scriptures and religions for which they were written. He was that much of a genius.
