In my childhood, I remember how I had least interest in this subject. I didn’t show or learn with interest. But extremely interested in Geography. Even in my SSLC final exams I learned only Sivaji’s and Chola’s administration bcz it was for 8 marks (essay type)so I learnt these two answers only. Nothing in history. Bcz I was 100 % strong in Geography portions of Social Studies, I took light for history. I was happy I scored 48 marks in SSLC attending 58 marks of that question paper( luckily as Sivaji’s administration was asked in essay type) But now I m happy and interesting to know the hidden History of India with all proofs from our land.

Brilliant presentation of facts and observations. As a resident of Australia right from my student days, I can attest to the following: a) Many Indians do have a slave-mentality and like to bow down to white Australians b) Body language changes perceptibly in direct correlation to ethnicity of the people the Indians are conversing with. If it's an Aussie, be respectful. If an Indian, "meh.... just another Indian!" c) Lack of unity: When an Indian gets beaten up (usually by Lebanese Australians), no one gives a shit. d) Easy targets: Indians are seen as soft targets. They don't fight back even if they are evenly matched. Only applies to fights with other Anglo Saxons or Middle Easterners. Between Indians, it is a different matter. Slave mentality in all its glory. e) Indians take it out on Indians: All the pent up frustrations and aggression are usually taken out on fellow Indians. Why? 'Cause, they know they can get away with it. With all of the above said, there is a growing percentage of Indian people who have an abundance of self-esteem and are not apologetic about themselves. In due course of time, as more people become aware of the defeatist mentality they were handed down, they will break free from these invisible shackles and claim their place under the sun. Just a matter of time. Jai Bharat! Jayatu Sanatana! 🙏🕉

Many don't learn English even they have lived their whole life in USA. They'll rather chose not to talk, have no friend, have difficulty with police/hospital, etc than to speak an 'inferior language. Eg. How calm, confident and above all casual they were in saying they are Latino and many other things.. Just head spinning... Just head spinning.. @@shadowoffire4307 this is degenerational talk. More than half of india do not have hindi as their mother tongue. They are as passionate about their mother tongue as hindi people are. Simple reason: they can grasp things and express things more easily in their mother tongue. Except tamil nadu's dravidian politicians nobody even in tamil nadu hate hindi. The strange fact is that those dravidian politicians know hindi very well to converse with their delhi counterparts to save their skin, money and political career. The poor in tamil nadu who study in govt schools are the victims. All others know hindi. So there is no need to promote hindi or sanskrit. Sanskrit is as well patronised in south india as north india. How many hindi speaking people know sanskrit. Please tell. The thing is that we have to make our computer/digital illiterate population literate in digital transactions. Free classes in rural and even urban places for the poor/elderly will bring digitalisation fast and fast forward eradiction of corruption and make india ready for future global challenges. Let us look at the world and future with positivity and hope.

@@grimsobad8545 u r living in a fantasy world. First know the origins of sanskrit. It means "beautifully and perfectly corrected language." Vedas handed over to us in sound form by great sages what they experienced during deep penance. It was handed over down to generations till date without change orally till date by guru shisya parampara. It was noted in many forms:- devanagari script ( sanskrit) Krantha form. So sanskrit can claim to be perfect and the most ancient language. It need not necessarily be link language. Till such time hindi is accepted as link language english also should be used. That is the assurance given by nehru in parliament. That assurance should be honoured in letter and spirit. That is the whole point of my argument. I love both sanskrit and hindi. I know a little bit of both.

@@smoky3302 kyun Bhai mirchi zyada lag gayi kya? It feels a bit odd explaining i am not criticizing. For Kushal is not above criticism. Neither are you. But really you guys aren't even disagreeing with something Sai Deepak is actually saying. You are attributing things to JSD that decoloniality means rejection of modernity. But that really isn't what JSD is saying. Also the real import of his take on decoloniality can be best understood only in the context of the issue he was addressing - the continued colonial ways of the way the Constitution is being used to do basically what the British were doing and further being done by Indians only. I like Kushal's work and want him to continue doing better and for the selfish reason that I think his work can also help frame the India narrative better. J sai Deepak ji has brilliantly explained the importance of identity and history. Also he perfectly explained why a person should give leverage to their identity and history as it plays a very important role in shaping and influencing the discourse of their day to day life. He rightly pointed out the fact that it is easy for any person to abandon his or her ideology at individual level and only focus on profit making. But the other person who identify that particular person with that identity will never leave him until and unless he or she doesn't convert him in his or her ideology and narrative and make him believe that his heritage and roots are based on falsehood and misery. History should be based on truth not on the basis of political correctness. History plays a very important role in awakening civilisational consciousness. As responsible legacy holder of this precious civilisation of Bharat we should actively participate in discussion of history so that truth can be upholded. Thanks @Buddhi for this wonderful and enlightening video.

This man makes me believe that future of India is bright. He not only has remarkable clarity of vision and an outstanding erudition, but what makes him stand apart is his ability to make the listener feel responsible and thus to make him a part of the process of change that he envisions.

Truly an eye opener speech, hope and wish that youngsters today introspect on this speech, rightly pointed out the pitiable level of discussions in Southern and West Bengal universities. Hats off to you Sir for stating the present attitude towards History so bluntly.

Sai Deepakji ki baatein har school mein sikhani chahiye. Aapne bahut sachchi baat kahi hai. Kai Bharatiya log videsho mein jyaadatar apne aapko badlake sirf apne livelihood ke liye jite hai woh ghumnaam ho jate hai. Unke bachche bhi unka samman nahi karte.

J sai deepak jee your speech on relevancy in history is a fantastic to understand the value of history even in our day to day life. Our defitated mindset, compromising attitude against all audacities, surrounded by us, has come from the distorted history, forced to read under school curriculum, made by some vested interested people. Once again many many thanks to you for your tireless effort to expose the truth, kept under the carpet for century after century.
