Miller is fantastic and in a lot of ways I think the team is starting to catch up with him, contrary to what people have said about him in the past. That said, Zadorov is hands down my personal fave, & if he resigns I'm getting a 91 jersey. Not to compare his leadership or contributions to Miller, but I just love the archetype of an intelligent bruiser: a guy who can beat you up who also reads more than you. He and Miller are probably the two most Tocchet players on the team in their own ways.

@@Nickh4929Idk if this is correct, but he chose not to be captain? I know it was the case for Petterson. That and maybe having a player who could erupt like he did in the past years, yelling at his teammates like he did and even Demko before when he slashed at the top of the net, at that time he shouldn't have been picked, but as late it's showing he definitely could have been chosen, but I still think Hughes is a good choice.

A bunch of players are having glow ups and peaking rn, like Boeser finding his stride again in goal scoring, and now Miller topping his points up and correct me if im wrong, but tied or damn near close to scoring points within a certain amount of games, or the fewest games to 60pts or something like that. This year he's been nothing short of incredible

God I love Millsy man it’s so infectious that passion he’s got. I mean there’s a reason that moment from him reading the starting lineup in the 2020 playoffs has been your outro this whole time. So much heart and soul as he gets the team going. Thank god we beat the bruins though, I couldn’t emotionally handle another loss to them and a 5th loss in a row. Was the biggest fan of Horvat the day we drafted him, knew he would be our future captain and was pretty upset at the time when we traded Horvat over Miller. That being said, especially how Horvat handled it and what he said afterwards, I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. I really couldn’t even see Miller making some backhanded comment about us if he were to leave.. I have Horvat jerseys that I feel ashamed of now.

JT is a beast. I was really happy when they pulled that trade off. I liked him when he was with the Rangers, but never really understood how the Rangers and Lightning didn't really put him in a top 6 forward position. I guess they were too loaded with better players. Sure glad he's here in Van.

Even though Pettersson, Boeser, and Hughes are somewhat media darlings when they're playing well, Miller, to me, is the only player who brings it consistently, is good everywhere on the ice, and seemingly has little to no weaknesses in his play

Vancouver 4, Pittsburgh 2 Vancouver 3, Los Angeles 1 I was shocked last year when JT Miller got re-signed. I wanted him gone. And I couldn't be happier to have been so wrong! I actually ended up wanting him for captain and thought he was the obvious choice. He's definitely emotional, but I don't really see that as a bad thing. I LIKE having somebody on the team who wants to win so badly. And Colin Delia was taking forever to go to the bench lol so his frustration was kind of justified. In a lineup heavy on finesse players, he adds a little grit. He can be quite selfless too, or maybe you'd just call it smart, but he's perfectly willing to pass when a teammate has a better shot. Glad to have him around. Question: How do you identify set plays? John Shorthouse mentions it a lot too. Is it just the situation (eg, off an offensive zone face-off), or is there something else that tips you off?
