Bangladesh is celebrating the golden jubilee of independence of Bangladesh, the 50th Victory Day, the most precious day of the Bangalee people as the country was liberated from the Pakistani occupation forces on the day 50 years back 1971 after a nine-month-long bloodstained War of Liberation. To be quite honest, we are not bothered by Pakistan. The country never was a major international power nor has it any considerable impact on a global scale ever. Pakistan is now considered worst than the third-world countries in Africa. I just hope that our country doesn't become a terrorist, semi-war zone like Pakistan. We don't have the time or energy to waste on matters that don't concern us. Other than that, I'd like to say that people here in Bangladesh have a very negative perception about Pakistanis. The Independence of 1971 was a glorious chapter in our history. But it came at a huge price. Over 3 million Bengali’s were killed. The amount of blood spilled by the Pakistani army is unforgivable. And that's precisely the reason why Bangladeshis will never forgive Pakistan and continue to distrust Pakistanis. It is very difficult for us to become Pakistani friend. We see Pakistanis as an impulsive, unpredictable and irrational people. Their actions don't seem logical to us. One of the major reason the 1971 war broke out was ethnic racism against Bangladeshis by Pakistanis. They still time to time tease Bangladeshis for being ‘blackies’, ‘midgets’, ‘Hindu like’ Muslim etc. All these are offensive to Bangladeshis but still there are huge number of Pakistanis who simply view Bangladeshis as ‘Indians in disguise’ and not ‘true’ Muslims. This is very offensive as Bangladeshis are very proud Muslims who are also veery proud about their Bengali culture even if Pakistanis term it as ‘Hindu’ culture. Pakistanis are the most conquered people among all South Asians and that's probably why they love to associate themselves with their conquerors. But Bangladeshis are extremely proud of themselves. We believe in the right to maintain everyone's cultural purity and self-identity. It was a huge mistake on our part to become a part of Pakistan in the first place. We could've done much better if we became Bangladesh in 1947 instead of 1971. We could've maintained a healthy distance from a nation completely different from us in their cultural outlook yet maintain a warm diplomatic relationship. Our relationship is anything but warm. Let's be honest here. We can't stand each other. Our relationship is extremely cold. I don't see any change in our relationship in the near future. It might even take a century to melt the ice. So yes, whenever you see a Bangladeshi smiling towards Pakistani or making a normal, nice conversation; don't mistake it for a genuine friendly conversation. We are just being nice. But deep within we have deep resentment towards Pakistani. The best option is to avoid us. And if any Pakistani ever thinking to travel Bangladesh then watch your step and your mouth. You have entered the Royal Bengal Tiger's den ! Be careful what you say and try to conceal the fact that you're a Pakistani. Whatever I say is the brutal truth. You Pakistani might not like it but the facts are what the facts are. This is the best advice you'll ever get. And I'm putting things very mildly here. Let’s refresh our memory a little bit of our history, more than 3 million people get killed, thousands of woman raped, West Pakistan looted most of east Pakistan income and invested in West Pakistan, suppression in our mother tongue Bangla. May the Darkest HELL reserved for the people of Pakistan who killed and raped my countries people. But we want to say,,From 1947 to 1971 90% export were from east Pakistan like jute, tea, rice, fish, seafood, leather etc . The total revenue of Pakistan was mainly estimated from east Pakistan. But the budget was spending in West Pakistan almost 95%. In 24 years Pakistan government just built 5 or 10 project in east Pakistan. But in West Pakistan they've built more than 200,300 . I think you don't know that Karachi and development of west Pakistan was made by the money of east Pakistanis. West Pakistan didn’t give that to Bangladesh, in that time period those thing was made. Most of the money and revenue of Bangladesh ( previous east Pakistan) was used in west Pakistan and 20 % was used for the development of Bangladesh. So,don't give a eyewash information. Injustice of west Pakistan towards Bangladesh , people know that very well. Bangladesh was Pakistan for 27 years and west just exploited Bangladesh in those years, without giving the proper rights.

I would be more than happy to point out what the government of Pakistan has looted from Bangladesh.

The building you are showing that was most of the modern building built by Bangladesh. The kaptai hydro power plant is a tiny plant. That is not capable to meet 10 factories power demand. Bangladesh is now building 13 billion dollars nuclear power plant. I am a student from Chittagong University. Our university buildings and system of Pakistani era was a few with very poor facilities. Bangladesh is the 2/3 area of whole Bengal. We got separated from capital Kolkata and west Bengal. We needed everything as a state. So the top necessary infrastructure was must be built. Look at the government job level of that time. Compare the development in west Pakistan with Bengal of that 24 years. You will get a clear picture. If west Pakistan gave us and helped us and we were dependent on them. then how we are surving now? Now, Bangladesh is much better and sustainable economy than both India and Pakistan. That make sense why we needed to be separated. If Sheikh Mujibur Rahman did false claim, then people would not support him. He would not be elected as president of the both Pakistan. What Pakistan did have proven after 1970s election. Pakistan didn’t have faith on Bengalis. Pakistan didn’t hand over national power to the Bengali's elected leader. It means in every position Bengali would not get any powerful job. Bengali only would be 2nd class slaves of Pakistan. My grandfather's friend Firoz seikh got admitted in Karachi University in 1958, he faced racism as a Bengali there. In every sector of life, Bengali understood Pakistan is not for Bengali. Only our Bengal is the final destination. Bengal should be under control of Bengali. So the 6 point movement was very popular in Bengal. But don't forget Karachi, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and other cities of Pakistan was built on stolen money from East Pakistan from a barren land. Also the powerplant, Dams, bridges and water irrigation, schools even military budget of west Pakistan was also built from the stolen money of the Bengalis of east Pakistan. Now there's no more money for Pakistan to steal so the betrayals have switch to the balochis and Afghans.

You will better understand, if u look up on the budget of east pakistan and west Pakistan...! The main cause we divided...!
