This movie was shown on Doordarshan in the seventies. Entire Televisions were sold in Lahore. We watched the movie. During those days we could watch Tv by tuning the antennas towards India. Chitarhar on Wednesday and movie on Sunday. What beautiful times.

Fact is that Madhubala, Dileep kumar & prithvi raj Kapoor(who played Akbar) were all from Peshawar, They migrated to Mumbai before Partition.

Khubsoorat yadein 💙 I was a young guy in New Delhi and it was exactly like you describe it. Pure magic… The Sunday movie or a half hour Chitrahaar song program was a neighbourhood event. More enjoyable than the mindless streaming today. Cricket games and dinner were planned around them. Family and friends would crowd around the living room TV in silence, mesmerised by the screen.
