I wouldn't buy any wax boxes from the late '80's...dealers were caught opening the packs for rookie cards. Then resealing them for sale...

It went through 3 different types...it was planned by fleer...the first one went high as $400...month later the 2nd one took its place...then when the 3rd came out, people started asking questions...fleer planned this to boast sells...

I bought a box from a case to be from the error timeline and was guaranteed (as long as it was pulled ) pulled both the Marlboro and F Face … graded 10 and 9 … awesome pulls

The year the Pirates traded for Steve Buechele was the season he set a career high in HR. I'm a Rangers fan, and a lot of us weren't happy that he was traded. He wasn't the greatest player, but he was a fan favorite in Texas.

Topps did collectors a favor by not allowing gum to be inside the packs. Stickers and puzzles never damaged the cards like gum has

Cal tells a different story about it. Billy wrote it on there but it was in thin black marker. He was insinuating that Fleer made it bold and printed it that way for attention.

I think the Billy Ripken error card actually went through two or three different corrections, black scribble, white box, and black box, with black box being the most common

ha. saberhagen was a beast in rbi baseball. don't sleep on the red sox though. especially if you sub in burks at the 2 slot and tony armas in the 8 slot. best non all star line up in the game considering there was no defensive penalty for playing tony armas at ss. ha. clemens threw crazy heat too.

I have 7 graded Ripken ERROR cards graded from 7s to 9s in psa and sgc slabs. I also have a PSA 9 of the Scribbled out in white Ripken, which there are only 30 that exist in that grade. This is my favorite set and chase card from the late 80s early 90s. Thanks for this video and your content, love it

i'd have to say that if you purchased packs that had the fleer update cards in them with the griffey jr, there was no chance of getting a ripkin ff card. opposite ends of the print cycle. ripkin ff would've been an early print with no update cards in the packs

I used to get my fleer boxes from a 90 year old lady at a flea market I go to. Every box had a ff card and a partially obscure marlboro card. I have quite the few of each now.
