As a person who attended the most expensive school in my state for all my schooling years, I kinda agree. My dad only came once to my school, for my graduation and even for that he was late and wasn’t there for me. I just grew up with my mom, private tuition teachers and my friends who come from even more wealthy backgrounds. My parents never checked my grades, never cared much. They already had a plan for me so I never really had to do much.

i really appreciate how chilland how realistic Arjun Kapoor is about being privelaged and being a product of nepotism. I wonder if it has to do with him getting into the industry a little later than other star kids. I know he used to just be Boney's fat son, and presumably wasn't planning on getting into acting, and then he got into shape and it became a possibility. I've heard him say that it doesn't matter what his opinion is regarding nepotism because he is the product of nepotism and therefore his opinion holds no weight. Contrast that with Sonam Kapoor, who clearly was always going to be an actress. Theres a video of her & Rajkumar Rao discussing their careers, and Sonam just seemed so deluded about how "hard" she had it. Rajkumar pointed out that she had access to directors and industry influencers, that he and other new comers did not, and she just kept cutting him off, saying that actually she had to fight for her debut role because her Dad wasn't close with Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

I work in IT, I don't think keeping your phone on Airplane mode will do anything. Facebook and Instagram both apps will still listen to you and store it offline. Then when the next time you browse through newsfeed, that offline data is accessed to show you relevant ads. An effective way to stop these apps from listening is to revoke microphone access. Also, keeping yourself inaccessible everyday is not a good idea, I think. Emergencies come unannounced.
