I remember as a kid watching George Burns on TV back in the 80's doing commercials and movies. I just thought he was this old actor-comedian people really seemed to like for some reason. I had no idea of his legacy. Today, I do.

It’s stunning to me how much Benny and Kevin Spacey look alike.

Jack and George were next door neighbors and best friends in real life.

Director Greg Garrison of the Dean Martin Show. What a great time for television especially when you compare to the garbage today.

not sure why this title? The two of them were guest starring on each other's radio programs for almost 30 years before this,, and were best friends... Although it's ironic that the two of them were on NBC, seeing as both of them started on NBC, then ditched them for CBS (Jack was the last hold out before George convinced him to switch during the Great Paley Snatch,)... *edit*- and who the FUCK would thumb down this video? REALLY?

Yeah she was just retired and sadly George aged very quickly after her death.

He lived to be 100 years old too! Tobacco didn’t shorten his lifespan or damage his health aside from making his voice raspy, although maybe he always sounded that way. The point I’m trying to make is, that it’s ok to enjoy life because no matter what we do we’re all going to die sooner or later.

My grandfather loved Jack Benny. I never understood why. It was a different time. No knock on that era but this isn’t funny. Not saying nothing from back then was funny. Foster Brooks who my grandfather also loved is still laugh out loud funny.
