To call Jack Monroe a cookbook writer would be to undersell her by several degrees of magnitude. From being a struggling single mother on a microbudget, she has built a career helping those who society has left behind.
Fresh from pressuring supermarkets to scrap price hikes and cooking with Marcus Rashford, she’s here to talk about systemic change, the cost-of-living crisis and 'Good Food for Bad Days', her book of "depressipes", or nourishing meals for low energy, brainfog days. Chaired by Kit de Waal.

Wow, I've seen a lot of worthwhile content from Jack, I find that sometimes the cathartic experience of someone (Jack) working their way through the struggles of life is helpful. BTW what is wrong with someone earning a little "something" out of nothing. Look at the Grifters and VIP's in government that are entitled to millions without giving ANYTHING back to the community ?

Totally agree with you so judgmental are people I have followed Jack Monroe from her early days and am living now near Southend it is certainly a very interesting area.

She was never working class. She cos plays in order to erase them. She’s a middle class fraud with a very nasty temper. Her local train company employees are scared of her but that’s a story for another day

I'd love to see some undercover reporting of what & who drives the IEA Think Tank... Whenever I see & hear Emily Carver of the IEA on TV... it makes me think of Kier Starmer on TV telling the viewer that he has Honesty, Integrity and Patriotism... I wonder why?

I think the deal is either buy the books and watch tv or don’t. Did someone set the video up just to slag off Jack? I saw Jack today and deduced none of this dreadful behaviour detailed in the comments here.
