Jack Nicholson and Michelle Pfeiffer star in this romantic thriller about a Manhattan book editor who is bitten by a wolf. As the days wear on, however, he becomes increasingly agitated, and it seems as though he is emotionally and physically changing, and not necessarily for the better. His life is changed forever as he slowly transforms into a wolf.

Several shots where you can clearly see it's Nicholson's stunt double but it doesn't ruin it for me. It makes me chuckle! Love this movie, such an underrated gem.

Now you see what your problem is?... your looking for the stunt double. Just enjoy the movie and remember it's just a movie. Behind the scenes footage and stunt double knowledge always ruins a story for the viewer.

It seems like the wrong casting idea. You hire Nicholas to bring a subdued level of class and wit in a package of malice and savagery. Wolverine is about bringing a layer of disdain and self-criticism for tapping into his savagery, all in an overwhelming package of decency and regret. Wolverine is meant to be a traditional hero, not someone who sets aside selfless behavior in favor of getting even and putting themself as the top priority, which is the contrary to the masculine movement.

@@Englishsessions I'm pretty sure he was saying that it's not more impressive than CGI. Personally, I agree with him. There's really nothing impressive about this at all. There's no "transformation". He just opens his eyes and has yellow contacts on...and then is seen with sharp teeth. ANYBODY could do that.

狼に変身する過程と完全に狼に変死した後の映画はあるがこの映画のジャックは半人狼の段階でその狂気の表情が人狼になる前の怖さを素晴らしく表現している。世の中で本当に人狼がいるんじゃないかと思わせるほどの見事な演出をしている

You could really hear the fear and terror of that poor little dear. Either a doe (female deer) or juvenile male deer. Nature can be really cruel at times. Oh well. It's kind of sad to me. I don't know if werewolves are real, but wolves are quite real. Also coyotes. And other predators. I'm quite happy that I'm not a deer!!!!!

No fucking kidding. The first time I saw Wolverine, from the marvel comics, I thought "ey, they took the guy from Wolf and made him a superhero!" Edit: I just read some of the comments from the rest of the people and I see that I'm not the only one that thinks that this Jack Nicholson was perfect for Wolverine.
