Speechless. Jack is such a monster and never ceases to touch me in a performance. The guy can play and do it all.

I LOVE this. Not only two of the best players on the planet, but two of the most gracious men you can meet in the business. Tommy's fame and playing speaks for itself - many folks aren't yet familiar with Jack - Jack is out of this world personally and professionally. Great video!

Jack Pearson is always playing an inexpensive guitar, in this case apparently a newer Epiphone Casino, probably with stock pickups, but he makes it sound like a million dollars!

Got to see Tommy in concert a few years ago. He's got the pickup hooked to the amp and the amp to the PA system, I was shocked at how loud he was! Didn't expect that from an acoustic, and it sounded fabulous!

That's what great music is all about: a strong urge to express a feeling + mastery.
@BeefNEggs0579 ай бұрын
Sometimes much less than mastery. One could say an instrument is never mastered. I think anyone who plays would understand that you never arrive since your skills are always measured by a critical self. Is knowing one genre like blues enough to be a “master”? It’s not about mastery. It’s about sharing the feeling to a crowd and making a groove that people can be free to and have fun with. If you wait til you’ve mastered the guitar you’ll never get out of your living room (which is fine too - not everyone is a performer - you know if you like the crowds).

The trouble with most of todays music is not what instrument it's played on (cheap or 'expensive'} but the material itself and the ability of the player.
