People complaining about comedians repeating their anecdotes is so silly. Literally all comics do this. Nobody comes up with a good bit and uses it only once.

Actors do it too, it's just less obvious because their anecdotes don't overlap with the contents of their career. Jack Whitehall is far from the first comedian I have seen repeat anecdotes across interviews and their stand-up material.

@@MS-rp1vz The thing is nobody noticed back in the day but now we live in the KZfaq generation where you can consume someones entire press work in one sitting. People expecting new material every time are crazy. Two of the only comics that I know to be completley original every time are Carlin and Sasha Baron Cohen but I'm sure someone could correct me on that as well.

i mean its a bit like complaining that bands or artists play the same songs in different interviews. comedians use the same material in different ways and contexts in different interviews but they have probably worked hard on the intrinsic part of the joke, so to complain you've heard it before is just as stupid as complaining you've heard the same song before

That's absolutely true ! How many people buy a music CD just to play it once and cast it in the bin afterwards ? Yet, the same people would pay to see their favourite artistes play their favourite songs each time. So, if it works for musicians, it should work for comedians, too !

@@evansspotter Actually, that's what annoys me. I get it, they wanna test their jokes, but Ricky Gervais' netflix special was like 90% of jokes I heard him say already. I either watch too much Ricky, or Ricky is in too many shows giving away his jokes. :D

I didn’t know Jack until I mindlessly clicked on his show on Netflix. I’m glad I did cuz I binge watched both seasons! He and his dad (and Winston) are hilarious! Wish there were more episodes.

I think Jack's told this story so many times he can't ever backpedal on it, because it's not actually true. His lines are still in the film - he's the troll priest who tries to marry Anna and Kristoff during the "Fixer Upper" musical number.
