I think the prime reason humans haven't domesticated more animal species is exactly that so many of them have the combo of strong body odor plus the tendency to pee and poop everywhere in the house

Jackals apparently smell pretty bad, she says they’re much worse than foxes. For perspective, foxes smell similar to skunks.

@@Justice237 British foxes are extremely smelly too, but then again after a bag of chicken flavoured crisps so is my other half, no I take that back he smells worse than a fox after them! No Jackal’s or skunks here though just a bunch of laughing hyenas making up our political system! I actually think foxes are possibly the most strong smelling animal other than humans over here, ferrets also can be a tad noxious on the nose but nothing beats the other half after a bag of walkers (lays) roast chicken crisps!

I had my lovely coydog, M'hija, who would dutifully sleep with me and keep me safe. Then we met a man who became my husband and she was relegated to "the dog bed". 😢 Now, three dogs later, he finally gets it; cuddling with dogs is awesome. And of course, we now have a dog who just won't. sigh.
