This is A Great Lesson from all of us from. Jackie and Shadow. Never gives up, so Easy, whatever obstacles come in life . Jackie and Shadow is a great example they dont give up so easy on their 3 precious. They still have HOPE ❤ I AM Learning from them 2 Beautiful Majestic Eagles pair❤

Sadly the eggs are no longer viable to hatch so we will continue to watch Jackie and Shadow living their best lives.

I am still holding out hope. Perhaps I am the only one now, but I still think at least one of those eggs will hatch. (I know. I know.) But, I do enjoy their spring cleaning and the renovations. It is good to keep oneself busy.

I’m so curious if there’s a correlation between hormones and interest to incubate eggs. So - if Jackie is fertile until the end of March ( give or take) does that play a role in her possibly spending less time in the nest? I hope I made sense. I hope I didn’t upset anyone! @@brendamosal8777 Thank you for supporting FOBBV. Their live cam is amazing and they have been fighting with a developer who wants to build something near the nest. It could affect the nest and we would be unable to watch these eagles in the years to come. I hope FOBBV will be able to buy the land instead of the developer.

Have these two lovebirds produced any eaglets in the past?? How long have they been together?? I only started watching this site last year when those three eggs weren’t viable. So sad now two years in a row!!😢

@patmills7880 Yes, it is very sad but such years happened before. They had chicks in 2019 and 2022 so not every year is successful. Let's keep our fingers crossed for next year. ❤️

I am wondering if they left the nest unattended for too long, maybe that's why the eggs haven't hatched. Or did it just seem like a long time. I would think they would need to be kept warm constantly.

The eggs were not left unattended during the proper time. At present, the eggs are gradually left unattended for longer periods of time. It can be a sign of eagles moving on as the eggs are past the hatching date.

These eagles are still young and can reproduce for many years to come. When the eggs do not hatch, they will gradually start leaving them and will eventually leave them for good. The eggs will become part of the nest or will be eaten by other birds such as ravens or woodpeckers. Thank you very much for your nice comment! ❤️❤️

@susanpendarvis8854 Thank you very much for your comment. Eggs are way past their hatching date and they are unlikely to hatch at this point. Nobody knows exactly why the eggs did not hatch. Jackie and Shadow had two sets of chicks together in 2019 and 2022.
