The writing was on point a true genius coming up with this character & giving him fascinatingly affluent, piquant & opulent lines he could get his teeth into!! He really brought this character to life, they truelypicked the perfect actor for this role. Loved every second of him on screen. Always left us wanting to see more of him in the show!! Bravo to the writer of this fabulous character!!

Jackie was the best. I love that the actor (Phil Morris) knew Johnnie Cochran since he was a teenager. All 3 of them went to the same barbershop back in the day. Phil took everything about Johnnie and just ramped it up like 10 notches to create the Jackie character.

@@Anons687 Iol the idea is that they both worked together to commit a crime, and when the bartender pointed at one (whichever doesn't matter) they knew they were both in trouble, and so they both ran away. Its just funny because the joke substitutes the seemingly benign "guilty bystander" and "innocent accomplice" for more criminal sounding labels, suggesting that they might be treated more leniently once they enter the bar, when in fact the labels do little to obfuscate the truth that they were still criminals, and that the descriptions were a silly and unconvincing ruse to hide their criminality :P.

I always thought it should end by them all getting lost in the wilderness and decide each go in different directions and one finds help they would send help to find the other three. Jerry finds help and instead goes on with his life without them "indeference".

I never get tired of the Seinfeld videos. All of the characters are great. BTW- It is my opinion that the actress who played George’s fiancé was perfect in her role and complimented the others in the show. She is missed.

Yes, some people can be held legally responsible for negative outcomes if they get involved. Fear of legal consequences can be a major contributor to the bystander effect.

I've read a lot of opinions about this over the years, and it seems to me that many people who disliked the finale didn't get what the show was about to begin with. They wanted it to be more like _Cheers_ or _Friends._ I've even seen comments like "Jerry and Elaine should've ended up together".
