@@writer8799 Dont read it an expect a better Cole, he is horrible in the book. Like very on point for the bad guy trope in the 2000s. He was not a nice person and Issac and Him does a horrible "prank" on her. Like really horrible for so many reasons. Though there is technically no physical cheating in the book, so that is the part where its better than the show.

A lot of people didn't like the ending but for ONCE I liked an ending and on top of that, an open ending, let me explain : the thing is, Jackie first chose to be with Alex because he seemed like the guy who was the greenest flag and with her character, (a person who likes to do everything right and hates things that are distracting like she said in the series) , she tought she made the best decision. Throughout the whole season; she kept looking back on Cole and then back at Alex, thinking she made the right choice; but she kept falling for Cole as his character improved and as she started to know him better and better. And I get why she was confused since Cole was so frustrating and hard to see through as he made it always hard for people to see the good side of him AND at the end she realised she loved Cole after everything that happened and the vase of her sister fixed by Cole was the last straw for her so she ended up giving to her feelings which were so overwhelming and distracting and the reason why she resisted to them for so long. Concerning the end, I think it was the best decision she could make since, after all she went there after the loss of her family and she just wanted to find herself again and make sense of her life but then she gets caught up in another big ass drama which could destroy the Alex/Cole brother relationship which she wanted to avoid (esp since they just finally reconciled) SO, I get why they ended it like this. To end, I think it was a great show and the last scene was EPIC, I think Jackie & Cole did a great job at acting 👌 (PS: I truly hated Cole at first since he was so fuckboyish & annoying but then he got better, THANKFULLY)

Cole is my guy because he's the character development type that's interesting and unpredictable. Cole grew feelings for Jackie which is better than instant crush alex. Jackie is very charismatic and smart but wise for her age. Let's see what happens in the future. a beautiful beautiful story and fun family and diverse friendships and relationships well done 👀

So the cheating of Jackie and back stabbing of Cole didn’t bother you not one bit. I mean the ending is the only issue I have with the entire show. Why trash the main character( Jackie) at the end of the series? Why not have Alex and Jackie break up in episode 9 and follow the book where Alex tells Jackie that he was just trying to make Jackie jealous?? Why normalize cheating?? I would be fine with her choosing Cole then. Now a Jackie and Cole relationship is gonna awkward and straight up messy to be happy. it has to happen before Cole goes to college right? Think Alex is gonna approve of it?? What about Erin?? Kylie?? The entire school is suppose to be make them feel good about screwing over Alex too right??

I feel like Alex and Jackie are fine together, but it’s not real love. You can tell by the build up and the nicknames that Jackie and cole are endgame. You can see it in coles eyes that he’s in love with Jackie and I feel like Jackie is in love with him too. Also, I feel like we need another season to see Danny and Erin because I kinda ship them.

I love Cole and Jackie. I think they would be a better match for each other cause I feel like they bring out each other’s personalities. They compliment each other well:) Although Alex is cute and they make a cute couple, I see Alex ending up w/ Kylie despite him not showing interest and saying what he said to her while he was drunk. Kylie and Alex seem to fit each other’s personalities a lot more and they seem to have more chemistry. I also love how Cole isn’t shown as toxic (haven’t read the books) & we can see he is very lost as to what he wants to do w/ life after thinking he would become a football pro-it’s easy to tell how hurt he is bc he thinks football was the only good thing he was good at. I could definitely see Jackie helping him find his way and Cole helping her in various ways too of moving forward and getting out of her comfort zone. Also w/ Alex, it just feels like a cutesy first and sometimes awkward relationship you have in high school as you figure your own self out. Reminds me of mine in high school! Lastly I can tell that what Alex and Jackie have doesn’t seem like a forever type of thing (well, they are still in high school and Jackie is only 15). Alex is known as the bookish shy guy and has his own insecurities he’s tried to deal w/. Such as thinking his own brother Cole was his competition when really, they were both just dealing w/ their own personal issues aside from what was happening w/ girls or in school. I love this show and I loved how you could just tell that high school makes you see your own strengths and weaknesses and personal growths and hardships and trying to find who you are as well as what you want to do and be in life.

Cole is way more of an asshole in the book. He is so much better in the show. I actually like him in the show and I couldnt stand him in the book. He was horrible. Though I had wished that Alex and Jackie would have broken up before the whole kissing thing. 😐😐 I also dont remember how long Alex and Jackie are together in the book, but I dont think its very long at all and he does not say "i love you" and realizes that he probably was with Jackie and trying so hard with Jackie because he hadnt gotten over the whole "Cole stealing his GF" thing. So the fact that they are together for so long in the show is worrisome. Because they make it feel like Alex really does like Jackie and is falling in love with her and that is has so little to do with Cole. Like from the moment she steps into the house and they are introduced, you can see that he finds her so pretty and attractive and that has nothing to do with Cole. But You are right, their relationship is definitely the sweet cutesy first relationship you have in HS and Jackie certainly needed that experience and that relationship after what happed to her. I just hope they make Jackie and Alex break up in a way so it does not make it awkward for them and that they can still stay friends. Like i dont want a season of Alex just being sad and mopey 🥲🥲 I feel like Alex deserves someone who choses him and only him. He is so sweet and kind, a little insecure but I understand why, like who wouldnt be, if your GF made out with your brother who you have been jealous of before. Like that is just a slap in the face and a knock on your confidence. 😂😂

I loved this « slowly but surely » sort of romance between Cole and Jackie, although it was hidden I think we got more insight into their chemistry in comparison to that of Jackie and Alex , , I loved the ending , it was so novel not like all these teenage movies with love triangles where the girl has to end up with one of the boys as if it’s a must It represented Jackie felt she was diverting from her real path which was making her family proud and was getting distracted and she needed to let go of both of them and get back on track to reach Princeton and all. The teapot was a metaphor for her life before the accident and moving to New York was actually leaving Walter Boys behind So basically she was just starting anew and it was so deep

In my opinion, Alex is just jealous. He sees the way that Cole looks at Jackie and gets jealous thinking that Cole will steal his girlfriend again, thats why he does all of the PDA. However, Cole didn't know about the orher relashonship when it was occuring. Alex needs to use his brain and get over it. Stop doing all of the PDA just to get back at your brother who knew nothing about your girlfriend while you were gone.

Our first impulse as women is to go for Cole because we are attracted to bad boys and Cole is one. Although we see the change he goes through during the first season, still the decision to go for Cole is too romantic and risky. Yes, you can see the passion between Jackie and Cole, it's very clear. Their kiss at the end of the last episode showed us the passion between them and it's something we've been waiting for all season. You also have to think about Alex. He is gentle and Jackie is very important to him. They also fit because they are both a bit nerdy, like to play it safe, so we expect another whole drama between the brothers and Jackie's choices. As far as the family is concerned, I have no idea how the parents don't see what is happening there and as a mother I would not agree to allow such a thing to happen. This only causes problems and a rift between the brothers.

Well if u read the books, Jackie agrees that she chose Alex cause he was the safe option whereas Cole was the riskier one. But you can't choose when u r in love. As Cole's speech at the wedding, "When you meet the one everyone else doesn't matter" and the way he said it looking at Jackie kinda proved his feelings.

I disagree with you. I am answering as a mother and especially if i was in a situation where I adopt a girl into our home and in addition to that there are only boys living at home at the same ages, I am supposed to be very involved in what is happening, understand if there are crushes and do everything I can so that it does not cause problems between the brothers. You can't prevent falling in love, but when you live together (in real life) chances are it won't go in that direction. There is no doubt that Katherine is very busy with her work and their financial problems, that she does not see what is really going on between the brothers and Jackie.@@NataliaBarzani-nr3ct

I haven't read the books. I write only from what I think of the show. And yes, you can not choose who you fall for, but you should be responsible to not cause demage between brothers and if you have a crush on one of them, don't go out with the other one.. But I love the show and I can not wait to see what happens next. BTW Does the book carry the same title as the show? @@baishaleepaul2205

The thing w a guy like Alex is u'll be drawn to him cause u know where u stand that's the kind of love u can allow yourself to fall in. W guys like Cole? Its great if you're the Jackie of his story but the probability of being Erin or Olivia is higher.

Cole is the better guy for real. He sure is hot tempered, wild, unreliable at first, but he improves because HE wants to improve HIMSELF, not for Jackie. Alex is the opposite, anything he does is only and solely to please Jackie, to win her over and to show her that he‘s the better guy than Cole. It wasn‘t about him loving Jackie, he just wanted to win her because he saw that Cole had feelings for her, so this way he for once could hurt Cole and snap him something important away.
