Things to note because yes: Flower has Pin's Flower cake in her room. Personal recovery centers (at least the one in the So-Ha store) can be changed by writing someone else's name over the original name. Flower has the power to repower swap tokens after they have been used. Bomby can communicate with the bugs. The bugs are capable of intelligent thought. "idée de défi" literally means challenge idea. The play in a band challenge was hinting towards the concert later on in the episode. Jack and Jelly Fries There is a queen bug that is coated with anti-poison, which is most likely where Gelatin got his. Pin and Coiny can still communicate telepathically like in BFDIA 7. Considering the Announcer created the bugs, or at least the green bug eggs, it is likely that he also created the bug's den. Ruby's sisters are now canon to the BFDI universe. The Announcer went to the cave to pick out a gem for BFDI, unlike how the other recommended characters were likely picked from the Cake At Stake audiences. All gems are allowed into gem school, Book had just been fed misinformation. Objects with no faces or limbs can still drown and die in mud. Evil Leafy has returned. Several Bugs are now in the 5b area. Bomby was taken over by Evil Leafy and was missing for the rest of the episode. The Evil Canyon is now slightly filled with water. Pineapple likely performed at the music theatre considering that he has his very own poster in the hallways. Kevin MacLeod is a Pan Flute. Snare Drum has made her earliest canon appearance, yet still uses her newer blue design rather than original black one. This episode marks the first time someone has failed the bullet pattern running gag. Ruby can also communicate with bugs. Now that Needle is a FreeSmart member, they will probably do something to the science museum, causing Needle to separate from FreeSmart and maybe start acting loopy like GB said in IDFB. Pan Flute was most likely taken over by Evil Leafy. Pin and Coiny plan to die via the BFDIA 9 compactors so Pin can have her body back, even if it has to be in that form. I love how Coiny protected Pin even when she seemed like just an object. Such friendship is why I have loved BFDI for so long. I am one of the OG's you could say. I watched BFDI before BFDIA existed, and to see it still strong today is just amazing.

Pan Flute was a pretty cool addition to the BFDI cinematic universe. He was literally voiced by Kevin MacLeod, a guy famous for his royalty-free music.

I love the small details like how Snare Drum is in Pan Flute’s orchestra at 17:05. It gives me hope that the failed debuters will get a little more screentime and subtle lore. Like, Nonexisty has failed to debut TWICE and is a contentant in less episodes than Evil Leafy, since Evil Leafy is listed as a contestant in the IDFB intro, and yet the show has slowly begun to acknowledge him more and more, and I hope that can happen to the other failed debuters too. Like, TPOT’s given a few of them a couple of lines, but I think it’d be nice to just kinda… have them around a little. Not in the show really, just kinda vibin’ and livin’ their normal lives.
