Күн бұрынWelcome back guy's, were on an adventure looking for new prospecting grounds, out in the steep upland wilderness of Scotland! we trekked into virgin territories with the geology maps guiding us onto an old volcano slip that erupted under the ice sheet leaving many interesting rock formations !!! and... gold! big gold!!! we hit the jackpot!, with many great pickers & nuggets in the 10g pan of color! Happy Day's....

@northernpickers I keep meaning to get out in the wild in streams ect but where we live there's nothing I'm from doncaster been told to go to lakes or Scotland ect

Good idea to tie a rope off to a tree can really help getting up and down those steep hills especially at the end of the day 🤣 quite handy to get to some places u can't normally get without going 2 mad. 🤣👍Well done bud.⚒🏴

Amazing location! MineLab do a great little fold up waterproof metal detector. That and a pinpointing detector I reckon you will find sooo much not visible to the eye on the walls and crevices. You've gained a follow from me.. (a Southey wishing he was up north panning!)

@@northernpickers yep fully agree with you, shame though people can’t be trusted af all nowadays…and that’s a haul like I’ve not seen great work!! I’m off up there for a few days next week, I go where I think no one’s been preferably off piste but I’ve not struck yet, only three small specs from wales so far! But it’s only 3rd season panning so just getting a bit of a grasp of it, and the tools.

Hi Buddy your correct, me and a few team members have been back! with some great results, best other day was 8.3g and a friend has had 18g! in a day. its that hard to get too and floods out with minimal rain ! and its been 8 months of rain around there. we had no chance to make a show. once were happy that its been covered i will be making some shows up there! also i have a minelab go find 44 which is ok! but my right hand man has a garret gold pro with mini diving head! and the many wind turbines in the area send them both crazy! even going off pointing them in the sky!

@@northernpickers thats great im thinking a more basic old fashiond detector may not suffer with same problems itl be less sensative but if theres a lump of thets say 15 40 g u will get it i do prospecting in bolivia and getting there on foot can take several days hiking with all on ones back so apreciate that place i cant take a maneman or he would become maine meale for the jaguars.liked the video verry much lucky sod good luck

Wow, unbelievable indeed. I've been prospecting for like 8-10 years, own 2 gold claims and never gotten that kind of gold. And I've been working dirt from Georgia to Idaho, here in America. You started out 2 years ago only finding flour gold and now, no flour at all, just nuggets and pickers in just 2-3 pans. I guess it's time to quit your day job and become a full time miner...

Hi. stumbled across your vid in search of an answer as to whether you/I can legally take gold you find by the means of panning in Scotland? I would like to have a go at panning myself mostly for fun but I'm not so sure if it's legal or not to take what you find. As far as I can understand all gold and silver in Scotland is owned by Crown-Estate Scotland. I've read the info they provide on their site but cant really come to a straight answer?

Im Red Rose county buddy and have prospected many times in our areas, with only minimal to show for!!! its defo best goin up to scotland, Leadhills is a good start!

Great vid i am trying to get into this but have no idea were to start lol not many places to look in teesside lol and i dont drive lol do u have any tips to help me get started i have all the pans and stuff and i use them with paydirt untill i can find a place lol

nice 1 linda, its quite difficult without a car! tyndrum is a good area with trains running there. i know a few folk who go up for weeks on foot! hope this helps & good luck.

you could if you wanted! but legally gold has to be hallmarked & paid its due's! Jewelry is a better option and more rewarding !

have been back a few times and friends too! but its a days trek and very patchy on the gold. have had two good days out of 10 trips!

You could hammock camp between two trees and do a multi-dayer probably, I think you'd proper zone into the gold in that time
