11 күн бұрынWatch the Jackpot! trailer for the upcoming action comedy distributed by Prime Video. Jackpot! stars Awkwafina, John Cena, Simu Liu, MGK, Seann William Scott, Marian Green, David Conk, and more. The film is directed by Paul Feig and written by Rob Yescombe.
In the near future, a ‘Grand Lottery’ has been newly established in California - the catch: kill the winner before sundown to legally claim their multi-billion dollar jackpot. When Katie Kim moves to Los Angeles, she mistakenly finds herself with the winning ticket. Desperate to survive the hordes of jackpot hunters, she reluctantly joins forces with amateur lottery protection agent Noel Cassidy who will do everything in his power to get her to sundown in exchange for a piece of her prize. However, Noel must face off with his slick rival Louis Lewis, who also seeks to collect Katie’s commission at all costs.
Jackpot! releases on August 15 on Prime Video.

Akwafina an aspiring actress wins the lottery and there are purge connotations where everyone has 24 hours to kill her to get the money. John Cena a cop comes in and saves the day and they then go on adventures protecting her only question is why doesn't he want the money? And the big one.... Simu Liu is part of a lottery protection agency and in the trailer CLEARLY turns against Akwafina and John looking at killing akwafina because she has the biggest lottery win ever. This is the one point that very much pisses me off about the trailer it is such a huge reveal for the movie and they didn't even try to keep it hidden with the trailer...
