Here’s a beautiful sounding arpeggio that can be used over most major chords. There’s also a clever way to pick through this sequence of notes to get the most out of it.

I’d like to apologize for the popping sounds…I’m not sure where they’re emanating from. Grrr.

Hey Jack! I was wondering if you’d ever enjoy covering “I’ll be with thee” or “don’t let go” those are both songs that I’d love to hear your takes on in lesson fashion. Thanks so much, love your stuff.

Probably not… sorry to let you down. I’ve played Dont Let Go and it was OK. But not really my favorite.

Starting at 8:11, I hear so much Mississippi Half-step solo Melodies similar to 8:19 ones that JM has added to the 2nd part of Mississippi Half Step over the past few years, and stay in my head for days after hearing. Am I close?

Yes, the melody was nearly identical to Miss Half Step (briefly). Same progression, Jack was just using the pent A Maj scale and probably stumbled upon a similar phrasing.

It’s a 335 into my Kemper. Set for a fender deluxe and a little simulated tube screamer to push the front end a tad. Thanks!!! J

Awesome. Way harder than it first appears. made me realize how little I used my middle finger for certain notes. Do you ever tab anything out?

Look…I’m kinda kidding. I’m not offering tabs at this point. The amount of extra work it involves as a student…Just use your ears and your eyes. And the tech involved on my end is considerable as well. That said… folks develop a process for learning, and who am I to judge? I’ll probably have to bite the bullet and learn how to do it for everyone soon. But not for free on YT. Probably going the Patreon route soon.

Would it be wrong to look at this as a 1 (A) going to a 4 (D) back to the 1?
@jacksnax4guitar460
@jacksnax4guitar460 Жыл бұрын
Yes…But common enough that I would never be pedantic about it. It’s the D major scale so the parent scale kind of determines the key. But rock dude like me might say 1 and 4 all day long. But in the most schooled circles it is V to I
