I never thought much about painting a guitar myself(probably because I'm a drummer, not a guitarist). But now that you mentioned it, maybe these companies should offer an option of being able to buy a complete guitar, without any paint, stain, or finish, for people who want to do their own finish. They could even offer some unfinished as I said, for people who want to use a stain or wood coating finish, and offer others with just a primer coat, for people who'd prefer to paint them with solid colors.

Exactly man! I mean it looks like and sounds like a good idea. But I think they wouldn’t want to because most people wouldn’t do that and it’ll be a lose of money to produce guitars in a large amount. But it’ll be extremely convenient for builders and DIYers.

Do you (or anybody else here) know if a Gotoh FR could just be dropped in without any wood work to fit in? I just got a body + neck no bridge and I'm looking forward to make it playable. Great content btw, keep up the great work!

The first thing I did was replace the cheap pot metal saddles with stainless steel ones. I bought on Amazon for 40 bucks. All screws fine tuners all came with it. Major difference. These are much heavier and really hold the strings. Also replaced the pots and tuners. On the nut, should I go with a special nut or an original Floyd nut. I'm left-handed, and my nut says WR3 also. I think they put a right-handed nut on instead of a left-handed one.

Just picked up the exact same guitar. Got a really good deal on it with a fender lt25 practice amp. I played some guitar 15yrs ago and getting back into it. I got an Eart guitar and really need the Jackson but it was a great deal so I took it. Thinking about selling it. Js32 might be too much guitar for me lol! The guitar is sweet and in great condition but the floyd rose is annoying. I dont really touch it cuz i have no clue what it really does. If I keep it I may block it

2nd jackson guitar if this model both whammys failed. same issue whammys loose, parts falling off, the same issues in both guitars came directly from the factory too...i love the guitar but wtf same problems

Hey Jake would you recommend the the Floyd rose version over the basic bridge if you had never had any experience with a Floyd rose before? I've had buddies who's had them, and I don't really recall anything problems for them, but also that was many years ago, and then those were rogue guitars, were talking 20+ year's ago.. I've been eyeing this model for a few years now and I think it's time. ☝️ Infact it's that exact model oil body and everything, but for a little less in price used. You maybe I should ask about that stripping issue in the bridge? You seemed pretty sure that's an eventuality. Man💪 that's a great looking guitar, and I'm also glad you mentioned the weight for these being lite. Thanks

Hey sorry for the late reply been caught up with things but yeah I do recommend it just because Ir has happened to me even with the Floyd rose specials but again I might have over tighten them and caused it to strip, I love Floyd roses I got a Jackson Shuriken King V a few weeks ago and those a rare limited edition guitars that were made for guitar center in 2011 only 200 were made and had the same kind of Floyd on it but the one bought someone swapped it for a Floyd rose original made in Germany and I paid half the price for it just because it was used and I don’t think they knew it was an original lol but by far the best Floyd I have because the 1500’s come close to being good in quality

@@jakethefate thanks. Well I took a 3 year break from playing and I straight suck! I didn't end up getting the Floyd bridge, but still it sounds great, I just don't 😂 but I'll get it back 👍 I mean it my right (picking) hand is just retard! Fretting hand 😌 not so bad really. I aim to practice with this arena 2000. It's an effects pedal with drum beats, but I still haven't figured out how to put em on. However I have figured out how to record loops and that has been a blast, but yeah also picked up some really good Shure headphones to Play straight through it till I get better, so I won't bug anybody..It sounds pretty good too! I mean the little set up I have. Alrighty well thanks, and that's cool on the rare guitar. I collect rare sports cards, and so I imagine it's a similar kinda thing? It's probably serial numbered or something 🎸#/200.

I just ordered one yesterday. I know a couple things I’ll need to do to it pretty soon. The one thing most everyone talks about is changing the tuners for better ones. So, what’s the best tuners that can work on this guitar? I’m looking at maybe a set of Gotoh 510’s.

since it has the locking nut, the tuners aren't as big of a set back as they are on hardtails.

Had the same body in a JS22 didnt like it ..... have 2 JS 32s (black and white) and think they are great.

My english is a crap, im brazilian. This floyd rose is good or not? Im thinking about buying a Grg131 ex ibanez instead of jackson, its cheaper... but maybe aren't good? Can you help?

Hello my friend, well the grg131 isn’t much of a Floating trem system if that’s the guitar that your trying to get. It’s more like a fender trem but if your talking about the grg 131 dx that one doesn’t have a trem it’s more of a string through bridge and the Floyd in this Jackson’s a Floyd rose that can dive forwards and backwards. I don’t know if that helped you with you question, if you need more answers ask me and I’ll be glad to answer you my friend

@@jakethefate thank you!!! Today i got more direct with the question I'll no more buy with floyd rose, its a little bit expensive to me. (R$ 3.500 reais vs R$2.500 Jackson with and without floyd). Now I'm indecisive in buying a Jackson JS22 that have tremolo or a Ibanez GRG (none of them have tremolo here, its fixed) Or maybe GRGR221PA Well, i don't know with of them is better

Honestly I’d get the Floyd rose original but that’s a bit pricey but if not that I’d do the Floyd rose 1000 it’s a lot better the specials I Own all of them lol and from experience the Jackson one can strip with in a few months the Floyd rose specials with in a year or two and the 1000 I have not yet had any issues with. Hope that helped lol

Twice a year, I take apart my Floyd Roses and give them a good spray of WD40. It really helps longevity. Just give the Floyd a really good wipe with paper towels after a pre-soak and some GHS boomers! 🤣
