This ensures that non-funeral vehicles don't interrupt the processional. It’s a sign of unity and reverence for the deceased.

No--not one car per family member! MJ clearly has a large family. Consider that eight siblings all have at least two children plus spouses/SIGFIGs not to mention MJ's kids, his parents and their extended family plus close friends. If you watch towards the end of the video, you'll see people getting out of the vehicles dressed in black who are not his siblings.
