Just bought a purple one exactly like that on kijiji....used, 2022 model,mint condition for $200 Canadian! I'm switching the tuners for locking, graph tech nut, all wiring with better pots and Dimarzio Super Distortion in the bridge!

Hey, have you done the pickup swap yet? I just bought a blue JS32 DKA a few weeks ago. I know it will need tuners and although the Jackson Floyd Rose trem actually works well and seems to stay in tune pretty good, the tuners on the bridge are 💩. They feel like they could strip or cross thread any moment. So I know I’ll need a new bridge for the trem as well. The Jackson pickups are not too bad, but a little muddy on the bottom for my taste. I was thinking of a set of Dimarzios or Duncan’s and wondered how yours turned out with the Dimarzios. I’ve always loved the super distortion. Me and a friend took an old SG Standard and put a Super Distortion and an X2N in it about 40 years ago. We put a brass nut on it, some Schaller tuners, and re-did all the wiring. I remember trying to put some kind of a phase switch thing in the pickup wiring and I didn’t really know what I was doing so it didn’t turn out quite like I thought it would. But I also remember that because of this, that SG had the most unique tone I’ve ever heard in an electric guitar. Anyway, I digress. I’m just interested in how the Dimarzios sound in your JS32 cuz I’m looking at possibly making the same swap.

@@bretttrommler756 Hi, although I don't have the guitar any longer, sold it! (I'm a drummer first but like to mess around with guitars) I did switch the bridge pickup for a Dimarzio Super distortion and it sounded great. Not a huge difference as I think the original Jackson sounded pretty good but a little upgrade. Mine was like this video, hard tail bridge. Cheers!

I have a js32 King v Army drab and its crap!! The Strings buzzing and i cant fix it.
@KevinMillard688 ай бұрын
so take it to a pro and they will be able to fix it if you been messing with it and your not all that good at setups well that there tells you you need alot more pratice at it , even when i first started doing setups i sucked at it but then the more i worked at it the better i got at it. and now there is very little i cants do and thats only because of not having the coreect tools and for me its not a big deal somethings are best left to do that are pros at it because they have the tools and do this stuff all the time every day ..

I just ordered one yesterday. I know a couple things I’ll need to do to it pretty soon. The one thing most everyone talks about is changing the tuners for better ones. So, what’s the best tuners that can work on this guitar? I’m looking at maybe a set of Gotoh 510’s.
@KevinMillard685 ай бұрын
tuners a are a personal choice and the ones on mine worked fine how ever i like gyker 21:1 tuners my self
@davidmartinez9275 ай бұрын
Tuners are good on this guitar. Not at Gotoh level obviously but they work fine and are well made, I wouldn't replace them. Maybe the only interesting thing to change in this guitar, is the nut to a bone or graphite one. Other than that, with a basic adjustment, this guitar is excellent out of the box
@bretttrommler7565 ай бұрын
@@davidmartinez927actually now the tuners aren’t too bad. The one I got is a JS32 so it has the Jackson/Floyd Rose bridge/trem with a locking nut so the nut isn’t an issue. Because of the locking nut, the tuners aren’t really an issue either although I will upgrade them some day. I love the neck, although the frets feel like sand paper. I love the finish. The pickups aren’t bad. The only thing (besides the frets) that I found to be something that needs to be addressed soon is the fine tuners on the bridge. They feel cheap and not well made, like they might cross thread or strip out at any moment. So my first priority besides a fret job is a new, real Floyd Rose trem/bridge. Oddly enough, aside from the bridge tuners, the Jackson version of a Floyd Rose tremolo is actually not bad. Once I got the bridge adjusted and adjusted the action down a bit, it actually stays in tune pretty darn good. It’s a floating tremolo so that’s even more surprising. Anyway, I’ll get the frets done and replace the bridge with a real FR and then I think this things will be a pretty sweet shredder/mod guitar. I still want my dream axe (Musicman John Petrucci Majesty) but this one will work for now, especially since it only cost $300.
