One of the most comfortable extreme ( metal shaped ) guitars I’ve ever played . The short wing on the bottom made it more comfortable to play in a classical position . It makes sense that it would be considering Randy studied classical guitar .

Dude, the JB is my fav pickup! Love how upfront and present its mids are; it's a straight-up fucking crunch machine. I have one in the bridge of a Schecter C-1 Classic that I keep in drop-A. Most folks don't think of the JB as a pickup for severely downtuned guitars, but I was shocked at how well it works in that low tuning. Just an amazing all-around pickup.

@dumpsterplayer5133
@dumpsterplayer5133 3 жыл бұрын
Its honestly a little bit boring compared to the old USA production line, or even the Japanese production line (even after the Professional Pro was discontinued they continued to make USA-class instrument for the local market). Doesn't even have colored bevels or pinstriping, when Snow White Black Bevel is like THE RR1 color scheme and pinstripe is classic Rhoads. For the asking price new, I'm not sure if its ever worth over just importing an old JDM Rhoads, or rather 2-3 of them given the price difference. I picked up a Japanese Rhoads Custom (top of the line models of the early 90s, same spec as the USA Rhoads Custom that became the RR1) recently and its as well made as any USA I've played.

I had one of the original Rhoads customs black and brass that Jackson released after Randy’s passing. They were just called the Custom and Student model. I got the Custom in 1984 as a high school graduation gift from my parents but honestly I badgered them on a daily basis until they finally gave in. I regretfully sold it to a collector and it’s online at Gila guitars. Great guitar and I miss it.

Really awesome guitar! For me, nothing beats a Jackson Rhoads! As you reviewed an expensive Jackson, it would be nice for you to review the cheapest Jackson, the JS11 Dinky that coasts only 138€ Cheers from Portugal!

SUPCHA Records Great choice. I bought myself RG565 earlier this year. Tomorrow I’m grabbing White Jackson King V! That guitar is really the best looking V out there. It’s so original! Cost about a 1000$

Had my transparent black USA made RR1T since 2005 and I don't think I could ever be without it. I swapped out the TB4 and SH2N for some EMG81's I had lying around as a bit of a make work project. Can't really decide if I like them or the Seymour Duncans better, but might put the EMGs in something else if it came along. I also changed it to 2 vol/1 tone when I re-wired it.

Wonderful looking guitar! But more than 2000€ *without* stainless steel frets is a no no ! I'm waiting for an E II Arrow or a Jackson MIJ RR with SS frets. It's time to up their game at this price point.

I picked up a cheap Soloist off eBay for $400 and the neck looks the same but satin so no friction. Plays and sounds freeking awesome. I agree that’s a very high price for that guitar.

How is the quality compared to ESP E-II line up? I need to choose between this jackson and the E-II Arrow.

I presume that in terms of fit, finish and hardware both are very solid choices. The dealbreaker is the neck shape; ESP and Jackson are VERY different in terms of neck feel.
