Practice practice practice. My sons band director always said one band one sound. If he didn get that, more practice was scheduled that band was fire and all of those kids got full ride scholar ships including my son.

I love JSU...but what I don't love is people constantly getting in the frickin' way trying to record on their phones. Just WATCH!! Let the REAL cameramen take care of recording and just enjoy it!!

I think it’s awesome these guys are still playing non-free floating snares with Mylar heads. Has such a great sound. Wish more lines would do that. Hard to keep in tune and maintain these drums, so much props to them!

These guys are exciting, they are in perfect form. They bring inspiration to people and high impactful energy in their performance. If this was 2yrs ago then they are still young. That group should audition for #AGT

I love the young man from Edna Karr..I have been following him since his high school day. He is excellent and in the right place. Looking forward to see him one day as the lead DM.

Carrie Knoten so true....and I remember him from Edna Karr as well....I’m glad he got to attend the college/university band of his dreams......His style is flawless and he will be lead drum major in the next year or so.......

@@darlenevm yes sir, you're right... others have confirmed it, to our left, and the Head DM's right😎. The have a tight and solid group. I was a tad concerned about when Abraham left. But they picked up baton and are "running" just as phenomenally!.

Your drum majors never cease to amaze me and I have watched them through the years. Their leaders must be pure dynamite. Their talent, coordination, stamina and endurance beats any band I have ever watched. Definitely a team of winners. The entire band is KILLER!!!

I must say with all of this musical talent in all of the HBCU bands out there across the country. Why aren't there more musical groups like the way it use to be. I mean with full bands like the Commodores, KC and the Sunshine band, Ohio Players and my favorite Earth Wind and Fire. All that money on an education and four long years in a band I hope most of them are putting their instruments and talent to good use after school.

Garven and Nate seem to be the only ones really into what there doing.Nate came from Edna Karr he was a beast then and seems like hes still a beast.Garven has to tighten up on those other two Dm .but over all they look good.i still have my eye on that Mexican kid the head Dm from Skyline im told hes here at JSU now its going to be very interesting thanks killa kev for your amazing videos💥💥💥👊

chamont thompson tradition. We don’t try to go for a Corp/meal sound. And they usually get tuned higher but trying project sound over the whole band usually brings back down a notch
