Band director in excellent position. He is respecting the band by not trying to be the center of attention. The make believe general suit is a bit much, but a true professional.

It's a standard suit for band directors across big 10 and black college bands

@@georgiamuleThat is ignorant, as well as contradictory. You can’t say it is a bit much and call them a “true professional.” While then saying “professionals don’t have to play dress up” all because of the suit they are wearing.

@@jairiesberry Of course a professional is never 100%, but makes poor calls on occasion. I simply commented that he seems to be a master of his work, but the dress up general suit is inappropriate to his stature. I also commented that he was not a prima Donna like many directors, trying to steal the spotlight. That speaks well of his lack of an outsized ego.

They should alternate trombones and trumpets in the front like SU does so we can hear them better..

Yes they should. The song almost doesn’t even make sense since you can’t hear melody past the trombones.

@ lmao they do not have the melody in the majority of the songs. No band in the history of marching bands have ever given trombones the melody in the "majority of songs". Trombones werent even made to have the melody in majority of songs. Nobody is saying yall will be imitating or biting SU's style. JSU's bone section is way too powerful to have them all in front blowing chords in front of the trumpets. It would sound way better if they alternate like SU and Dega does.
