well the car makes 1000 crank so if its making significantly less whp then that makes sense

@@jaxxxn_ Of course wheel hp is less than crank hp, you have hp/tq loss through the drive train, 15% plus or minus. All I’m saying there is a few videos of shops putting the car on the dyno and having much less hp than it should. Example the crank hp of 1000, should be around 850hp wheel, if you have 650hp wheel then you don’t have 1000 hp at the crank. Same thing with there TRX Package.

@@dlang1009 weird bc a lot of people are reporting somewhere around 900 wheel on a dyno, I wonder why there’s such a large range?

@@jaxxxn_ I believe LMR in Texas had a fairly recent video of one that he was retuning as it was down on hp? I will try to find the videos, my buddy his was at 760hp.

people just make fun of those builds because in theory it all stems from off-roading modifications, yet some of these builds have never left pavement and are just riced out.

@@CivilStig right i understand the purchasing of off-road parts and not taking the truck off road, but that’s popular in the car community with racing mods that don’t take their car to the track, i’m not talking “RiCeR” i’m saying like a legit track build with a wing and active aero and legit power that is just daily driven and never tracked but people don’t seem to hate on those they just think they’re cool looking and for good reason. I’m a much bigger car guy then truck guy but i can appreciate the effort that goes into a truck build

​@@xriot1752 there's levels to it. a track build in outregeous spec with a huge wing never being taken on a circuit kinda equates to these truck builds - except there's a major difference. these trucks are a danger to others as well. but I do understand what you are saying, you gotta appreciate the effort. but at the same time, I don't appreciate 'tasteless' mods despite how much effort might have gone into it

@@CivilStig Are you referring to the danger to others that comes from a truck being lifted? and you're right about tasteless mods, but tasteless mods very per person, what I think is tasteless you might not and vice versa, but we all probably think useless tow hooks, excessive lights, and fake aero/hood scoops are tasteless mods

@@xriot1752 yes, I meant the danger that comes from it being lifted. often you'll see lower quality parts used and corners being cut on those sort of builds since they won't even be taken off-road anyway, that doesn't help with safety either as you can probably imagine... and yes of course the definition of 'tasteless' varies per person, but I absolutely agree with the examples you listed 😅
