With just over 2000 hectares of vines, the Jura is one of France’s smallest wine-producing regions and yet, Jura wines are sommelier favorites around the globe.
I am Jacky Blisson, Master of Wine. Join me, visiting wine regions both traditional and off-the beaten track. In this Jura wine film, I meet with top, local wineries (Stéphane Tissot, Jean Macle, Domaine Baud) and catch up with Meilleur Ouvrier de France, Philippe Troussard, to get the lowdown on what to eat with Jura wines.
This vinous road trip takes me from Arbois to Château-Chalon, and across the Côtes du Jura, to discover the Jura’s famous wine styles like Vin Jaune, Crémant du Jura; its unique local grapes like Savagnin, Poulsard, and Trousseau.
Beloved by some as an up-and-coming natural wine region, with a serious and growing commitment to organic and biodynamic winemaking, the Jura is also a traditional French wine area, with a long, storied history.

Just bought a bottle of Trousseau “Le Ginglet” 2019 by Tony Bornard yesterday. Never tasted Trousseau before or any wine from the Jura region.
