My sons friends asked if they could pour a shot of Jameson Irish Whiskey when we put TJ into the Ground . These boys all grew up together …. No way would I have denied them that . The last shot of my sons favorite drink with his Brothers it was very calming for me at that moment. I will still have a shot of Jameson now and then and I’m not a big drinker .

I'm not a big country music type of gal but this is a good song. I love your reactions! Just a side note...I'm not going to have whiskey poured on my grave. I'm going to be cremated and my friends are going to smoke me.

Don't pour it on my grave and waste perfectly good whiskey. Then again it could have been what got him there in the first place.

Whiskey was used as a form of money at a time when government-issued money was both scarce and unreliable.

@@newmoon766 Interesting. I found this on the subject - In 1854, Perrysville and surrounding Green Township were home to no less than nine commercial distilleries. Whiskey was so prevalent it was often used as a form of currency.

@@metalmark1214 I just posted a recommendation for the book "American Nations" about that to another one of their reactions. Fun fact, I named a cat Moonshadow, and my grandfather always called her "Moon Shine" with a warning that the revenuers might be coming for her. :)
