I don't know why people are so mad with this movie. The first 1 hour of the movie is so well done that you completely believes that Elvis is an amazing and sweet man, you even forget that he met her and kissed her when she was 14 and he was 24, he knew a fan that young would do anything for him but you still sit there watching and feeling like it's a romance. When he hits her for the first time is so scary, it's so out of nowhere, it's terrifying. I loved the movie, it made me fall in love with Elvis and then start to feel afraid of him. Priscilla loved Elvis but on trying to love and accept his vulnerability, she ended up loving and accepting his violence. I'm not saying he was a bad person, I'm saying he was someone that could not feel sadness without expressing in form of aggression towards his partner. Jacob was excellent on it.

Can’t trust Priscilla she sued Vernon ( Elvis dad ) after Elvis passed away & before Vernon passed and again Priscilla sued Lisa estate after Lisa passed. Priscilla approved means nothing. 2nd Elvis & me movie sadly even that didn’t portray Elvis in a good light & Priscilla says ‘ Elvis is the love of my life ‘ - where is the proof ???? What opening Graceland she hired head hunters to run epe sadly

I could care less about him and his acting being Priscilla approved, she'll do anything to make money from Elvis and his children and grandchildren bc she can't do anything on her own and just watching some of the clips, how she represents herself... seriously,lol... how arrogant and full of thelmself can a person be?!! However, I really adore this young man. He's humble and sweet as ever and earning his title as an actor. I'm sure we'll see more of him. I'm sorry, I should not have taken away from your comment... and I need to be nicer regarding Priscilla just because it's the right way to be about people... just watching and listening to her all of these years, she is fake and that's my opinion.

He's so much more accurate at Elvis's voice than Austin. Austin did amazing but at times it was more of a caricature at times and over the top, Jacob does it so natural. They both are great actors can't wait to see this movie!

You’re tripping. Austin Butler sounds almost identical to Elvis. The hate train on Austin is so silly & contrived. I highly doubt Jacob would be nominated for an Oscars or won awards like Austin did.

Im from Sout Africa so we see movies 6 months after realease. I recently wath Pricilla and Saltburn. And must say i never even heard about Jacob untill Saltburn. What a great and versatile actor. Now im a big fan

This looks Awesome! Anyone who is a real Elvis fan knows that there was highs and lows. He was a human, not perfect. I want the whole story. BTW, read her book. It was mostly positive.

We know HER descriptions of the relationship, she's been babbling about it for decades, and Elvis has been, and continues to be judged by it. There is nothing less objective than a story about a failed relationship, told by the person that wanted out. That applies to everybody. Now you take a big name like Elvis Presley, you put out a movie based on the story told by the ex-wife, made by a Hollywood feminist producer that adds on own twist to it (6'5 giant Elvis and 4'11 miniature Priscilla) and people will be influenced to think this is the real story, the real Elvis, "both sides" .

Too bad it is not the real story. It is a made up version written by a x wife who waits till her husband dies so one can dispute it. Check into the real story and what she really did to get to Elvis. Read "Child Bride"

I know the height is taller than Elvis, and also know that this film director utilize this extra height to make Elvis seem more looming and towering over Priscilla and mean perhaps. Of course those of us who love Elvis arent good to go with that but that's part of the picture for this film. The actor is quite handsome in his own way. Its a shame he has to make Elvis look bad at times in this film.

He seems lovely and a very talented young actor. I just think it's a shame Sofia Coppola is rehashing an old '80s TV movie based on Priscilla Presley's sketchy (at best) memoir "Elvis and Me." Priscilla is known to have taken generous liberties with her personal history and just with the story of how she actually met Elvis. Don't take my word for it, look into it yourself.

he seems like a lovely guy and is attractive in his own way but he is no elvis. its a thankless job. actors need to be very careful taking this on as it usually does not end well. it almost killed Butler trying to get it right.

I was wishing the entire time watching him it wasn't a Priscilla movie, but something else about Elvis, as hers will be a pity me party all the way through. Looking back, that's all she's ever done, and I use to really like her. Then...contesting Lisa's will to granddaughter??Ugh! HER son getting a portion...no kin to Elvis at all? Her big payout? Finding out how much she was worth, and how much EPE had been paying her a year broke down my good feelings about her. I now totally get what people have been saying for years. It's all about herself and money. She doesn't care that this will hurt Elvis. I already see it out there.

Shame on Priscilla for coming out with a movie that focuses on her as a victim and Elvis as a villain. Lisa spent her whole life protecting her dad’s name and legacy!! Elvis has been gone 47 years and Priscilla the ex wife has lived a lavish lifestyle off the Presley name. It’s sad and so disrespectful to Elvis to put out a movie for the new generation of people that don’t know the real truth! Elvis isn’t here to defend himself yes he met her when she was 14 and that’s why he didn’t take her calls or respond to all her letters when he got home to Graceland this movie is just an exaggeration another plot because Priscilla only cares about money She knows nothing of Loyalty! She fought to take some of her grandkids inheritance what a narcissist! I hope one day someone makes a movie that don’t focus on Priscilla. There’s 2 sides to every story and Elvis had a saying ( Don’t judge a man, you haven’t walked in his shoes! Priscilla is a fake and fraud!
