When the home of Melissa Norby was on fire and she was discovered dead, people wanted to know where the 5-year-old she had been babysitting was. Little did they know that Jacob Kinn was responsible for the fire and the disappearance.

Oh I agree, but it's more like evil arising from weakness as opposed to evil arising from evil itself. She was a weak-willed lilly-livered individual who enabled a predator without being one herself (necessarily), but she's still scum.

Her texts with Kinn… 🤢 when I initially found this case and saw all that I was physically sick. We all know ‘daddy KZfaq’ will punish anyone shedding light on truly sick perverts in detail though. I’m not for vigilante justice or anyone deserving to be murdered but… karma’s a bitch.

I hate this case on so many levels. As far as I'm concerned Melissa is just as much a child predator as Jacob. She actively made plans to have a child interfered with. It's disgusting regardless of who's child it was, but I don't know, it just seems so much more sinister knowing that it wasn't her child.

@@kingayy9267 I think that’s why it hurts me so much to hear the young girl say it. Poor kid is so young and will have a tremendous uphill battle with it the rest of her days. I’m hopeful that she does recover.

The last coverage I saw had interviews with her mum (first name only, likely a pseudonym), and though the little girl’s face was blurred out there were some photos and video clips at the end of her with her mum now and apparently she’s doing really well, her mum is in constant awe of her strength, and yes, she’s absolutely had all the appropriate professional supports along with fantastic community, social and familial supports to help in her recovery. I bawled my eyes out the first time I saw coverage of this case and the footage when they found her 27 hours after her abduction, that’s a miracle in itself, and I hope life is filled with happiness and positivity.

@@jackstevens585 there’s an episode of Interrogation Raw, Season 1 Episode 3 called ‘A Betrayal of Trust’ which got me latched onto this case and (in my opinion) was really good coverage with a lot of depth and context. It’s an A&E series… no idea what country you’re in but in Australia I get it on my streaming with all the Investigation Discovery content. Absolutely recommend. Helps to have a few moments of relief and light at the end of the tunnel we so rarely get in true crime. And I’ll openly admit, I probably consume too much true crime 😅

The term mandatory is bandied about in British justice for Life Sentences but it means no such thing as a REAL life sentence. Wool over the public's eyes more or less.

Nothing is more heartbreaking and uplifting than the body cam footage of them finding the little girl. Knowing she was safe was nothing short of a miracle. Melissa and Jacob are both disgusting monsters who should rot in hell.

I've seen and read first hand many cases regarding abuse and SA, where victims have made a full recovery. Of course depending on the severity of abuse and particular individuals character, will, age etc.. a full recovery can be next to impossible!

I was surprised how short this episode was… the text messages between him and Melissa are BEYOND disturbing, my skin crawled and I felt physically sick reading them. The interrogators also did an epic job of stalling this sick bastard out whilst trying to process evidence to actually be able to get search and arrest warrants, they basically knew if they had any chance of finding the poor girl alive they had to prevent him leaving to be able to ‘clean up’ if you know what I mean. The camper he’d stashed his victim in was in such a remote spot within the 5 mile area they’d narrowed it down to by the time Kinn finally said ‘I’m done, I’m calling my mum, I’m leaving’ they got super lucky they found tyre tracks through tall grass off a dirt road going through a massive field to the edge of some woods which is where they found the camper and, miraculously, the little girl alive and just sitting there waiting when she’d been kidnapped 27 hours prior. They’d noticed a bunch of dirt and fresh grass all up under his pickup parked outside the station which uh, he definitely hadn’t picked up at an actual fishing resort along Clear Lake like he said he’d been at so seeing those tracks they were like, go go go follow the trail. At the time they weren’t yet equipped with bodycams so they filmed their entry into the camper which had electrical tape on the outside holding the door shut on a cell phone and obviously the girl’s face is blurred the whole time but the clips I saw was just like, oh my god, she’s sitting there talking to the investigators saying she was at Missy’s (Melissa) and missy’s friend with a beard took her there and she was asking where her mum was. Then they took that photo of one of the investigators holding her safe and alive and let her mum know and the rest of the team, it was just an absolute miracle and fantastic police work they found her and she was ok. And that photo is what they showed Kinn on their phone when they pulled him back in while he was still saying ‘nope, no idea, not me’ and the interrogator said ‘is this the 5% you’re not sure about?’ So rewarding to watch him just look stunned, f**king monster. The little girl’s mum had known Melissa a pretty long time, completely trusted her, it was very normal for Melissa to babysit and have her overnight, when they found all the horrific disgusting messages between Norbert and Kinn planning it all out she was so shocked and betrayed my heart just broke for her. I’m not ok with anyone getting murdered or vigilante justice, but if you see those texts and the planning, ZERO sympathy for Melissa Norby ‘just so desperate to be loved’, she’s as much of a monster as Kinn is. On a positive note, the little girl is doing really well. There’s an episode of Interrogation Raw (pretty sure it was that series) that goes through the entire case if you want to watch it.

@@aisheniashallot5478 yeah the video didn’t have any of the texts in it, I’d randomly only found out about this case about two weeks ago and saw the texts in other coverage. And way more interrogation footage and the discovery of the camper and interviews with the little girl’s mum where she (and everyone else) was totally blindsided by Melissa’s public persona compared to her private interactions and plot with Kinn. The texts are out there though and just so disturbing, KZfaq actually would probably have blocked the video and punished the channel because of the nature and content of them so that kinda explains why they’re not in this video… we all know how KZfaq likes to punish creators for shedding light on sick perverts.

Maybe they should be mentioned in this video because as it sits it looks like the narrator is making assumptions... This is one of my favorite channels - and normally they are very thorough in their coverage.

@@aisheniashallot5478 this is also one of my favourite channels, it wasn’t until I read your reply and actually thought about it that I realised the reason a lot of the truly disgusting stuff with Melissa wasn’t included was likely due to KZfaq guidelines. Given the volume of interrogation footage with Kinn himself I watched where the interrogators really impressed me I was surprised the video was so short though, mind you a lot of it was Kinn just denying everything possible until faced with evidence so the hours of interrogation were pretty repetitive stuff while they were essentially distracting him into staying at the station until they could get court orders and gather evidence.

Melissa was absolutely crazy and responsible for what happened to herself to an extent. Anyone who was sane would have recognized that a monster wanting to harm a 5 year old child wouldn’t care about them as a human being. She was nothing but trash to this monster. Thank goodness that little girl was rescued! She was the actual innocent victim of both of these monsters!

Hearing that Melissa was a willing participant in the plans to kidnap the little girl makes me feel not so bad that she was murdered. Go ahead and judge me as you will for thinking that, God knows I'm judging myself for thinking that but nonetheless it doesn't change the fact that she was making plans with this man to kidnap a five-year-old girl. Also I fear her son most likely suffered abuse at the hands of her significant others growing up. I'm only a few minutes into the video so I don't know if that's brought up but I do fear it. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Shara, yes hey, I broke my wrist and hip last year so I fully understand how you feel and how it affects your sleep patterns 😪 The last two days I've had 6 hours sleep at around 3 hours each night, so work is becoming hard work, it's actually 9am in the UK, but like you my late night/morning viewing gets me through it all 🤗 All the best, I hope things get better soon 🤗

I hate that it happened at all and I know from personal experience that her wounds will never fully heal , but my heart just about stopped altogether when the picture of that little girl with the officer popped up. I honestly didn't expect them to find her alive. I don't even like typing that , but it is the truth. Actually made me tear up..it is odd that I could feel such a way about people I have never nor will ever meet , but that was one of the happiest moments I can remember.

The cops showed Jake a picture of the little girl being held by an officer in front of HIS camper, on the family lot. Also Melissa Norby died while delivering a child to a sicko! Look up her name on KZfaq and you'll see the show done on the case.

What was on the detectives screen was the photo of that detective holding the rescued girl. In fact, the exact photo from 8:50. (I remember from an interview the cop gave in a dateline type show)

I've watched a couple different "true crime" channels about this little girl, but of course they never showed any of this (the good stuff) just the moment she was found *ALIVE* THANK YOU JESUS!! They also never said anything about her being molested either, maybe they didn't have that information. That's why I *LOVE* this channel

The photo of the cops showed him, was the cop holding the little girl. The little girl actually told the police to thank her attacker for letting her play with his kittens.... 🥺🥺🥺

I’m going to reserve judgment on Melissa since we know nothing of her background. What a very sad life opting to be with men who are child predators. I sort of lost that empathy for her when it was reported she did it over and over and was even planning on participating in the kidnapping. The one saving grace is that the child was found alive, thank goodness.

I'm not a hundred percent sure on this but I'm pretty sure that albuterol acts as a bronchial dilator by being a stimulant of sorts. So in theory like if you were to a puff the whole inhaler in a very small amount of time it would be somewhat equal to an overdose from speed or cocaine. My question is how did he get it in the jail? Was it an inmate? A C.O.? Hummmm....

I honestly think this is the first video I've had to stop because I couldn't take it. I only got as far as 3 minutes and 30 seconds. I'll try listening to it again another time, but man....
