He's such a clever man. And even better, he's largely on the public's side!! Been a long time since we''ve had a posh and vastly intelligent statesman that commoners respect. He's like the genius captain of a rough and tough mutinous crew that is not only no longer contemplating mutiny, but is now content again even though circumstances remain as before. It's great! Admiral Boris helps a bit too, but the jury is still out, but they're nodding happily as it stands right now.

Sometimes educated people struggle to put into words what they want to say. Jacob Rees-Mogg has no such problems, he is articulate, has a calm demeanour, and so easy to listen to, in fact he seems to be a genius appointment.
@reellezahl
@reellezahl 4 жыл бұрын
He's not a genius. His education is extremely laughable and pitiful-he only has an II-1 honours and in a pathetically useless field-history. That man has no serious qualifications apart from being a landlord and having been given a whopping inheritance from his dad, lord Mogg. The man has never worked a day in his life.

@@reellezahl So everyone studying at Oxford who does not get a first has had a laughable, pitiful eduction? Or is it only pitiful if they studied a subject you do not personally approve of? That is such a self-evidently stupid comment that it does not need further analysis, it stands for itself. As for not having worked a day in his life, that is even more laughable. He worked for nearly 20 years in banking (1991-2010), which may be a field you despise, but that does not make it no work. Quite the opposite, you tend to work very long hours. Again, you may despise the field and despise the people working in it (and fair enough - your right, and certainly an opinion that is quite widely shared) but to say it is no work is, again, as self-evidently stupid as your barb at his education. In addition, if you look at parliamentary statistics you will see that he is one of the harder working members of parliament. He is often one of about 10 people in a session nobody else bothers to attend. He is a very committed parliamentarian, unlike many of his Labour and Tory peers, who turn up half the time he does. Again, you may despise his politics and fair enough, but to say he is not working is absurd. You seem to have a bizarre notion that any job you do not approve of does not fall under the definition of "work".

I promise you, you'll never finder kinder, more humane or civilized people". JRM is a good one and it's a delight to hear him speak. JRM might look and sound like an urbane, charming bloke but he has extreme beliefs. I don't want a remote, middle aged man deciding how the law affects my daughters reproductive rights. In Alabama, in 2019, an 11 year pregnant rape victim now has to go full term because a bunch of grey, intellectually sclerotic religious nuts will jail you for 99 years if you attempt to arrest the process. I am a great believer in paying credit to your opponent when they pull off a good move. The dark and songwriter sinister forces behind Brexit pulled off three absolute blinders. 1. They have managed to convince poor people that Brexit will be good for them. 2. They have managed to convince a significant chunk of the population that a no deal Brexit is preferable. 3. And this is the move I am in most awe of, they have managed to convince leave voters that they voted for a no deal Brexit all along when we know that a no deal Brexit was never even mentioned during the leave campaign. Actually, make it four things. 4. Convincing poor people that the widespread economic, social and political devastation a no deal Brexit will cause is worth it because it "butthurts leftie remoaning snowflakes". That was the final killer move. So to Trump, Putin and the disaster capitalists, I salute you on a job well done.

Villianofthepiste. How much will you bet me that Boris doesn’t let Raab or Davies anywhere near the renegotiations?. Boris will make a few cosmetic changes to May’s deal and it will pass in Parliament because everyone is so exhausted with Brexit. Maybe Raab and Davies should’ve got an acceptable deal when they had the chance. Enjoy your sovereignty.
