Sitting on the banks of Cypress Creek in Wimberley, this swimming hole is unlike anything in Texas. It dips down hundreds of feet into the earth, down to the aquifer that feeds the creek. It's a cool sight and an even cooler swim.

I've dived in that underwater cave over 100 times. I almost lost my life at about 65 feet down. One of the most incredible lifeforms to exist in this cave is albino freshwater eels.

I did a dive there in the early 90's. Went to the third chamber...cold water was flowing up from the bottom...it was very scary.

We were just there last week for the 1st time. Sad sight. The water is barely above the hole opening. The creekbed is dry.
