11:25 i dont know about the in universe expiation about the gear luke had, but that cylinder on the back of both normal clone and storm troopers is a thermal detinator as a last ditch resort, also first time veiwer, ive been looking to make a 41st trooper armor and the hev suit from half life and you make it seem somewhat easy to do

A practical explanation to the box on the back of the belt, I cosplay as a 501st Hero (Luke) Stormtrooper. The box actually houses the retractable wire reel connected to the grapling hook. Also a dummy switch for (in universe) coms.

Luke's unique belt is actually his grappling hook from when he swings the chasm.

I always assumed it was in one of the front pouches on the utility belt. I'll have to go back and take a closer look.

@@WilliamJakespeareProps Nope, Luke juuuust so happened to grab the only Stormtrooper's armour that has a grapple on the back. I guess there was just that one guy who liked spelunking, in armour, in the Death Star. You can see it clearly when Luke turns after complaining about the noise when they take over a control room in the Death Star.

This is actually really really useful ta know, thank you so much for makin this video. =) Um, just skippin over a *LOT* of probably needless background info for this comment cause trust me, it's a lot of background into; I've been wanting to make display versions of the armor worn by the 3 main factions of the Star Wars fan movie series that I wanna make which will be computer animated in a similar manor too TheRussianBadger's videos cause it'll save EVERYONE who agrees ta help me out with this a headache gettin the scenes and so on made (plus it'll allow for more potions and funny moments than IRL acting) and here I go with the needless background info. . anyways, with the display versions of the armor, it'll be easier for many people too see what the Hell I'm talkin bout if I ever get the chance to be in a Star Wars convention. So thank you very much William, you're a life savor (my original plan was to forge metal into the shape of the armor and paint it, which wouldn't been a helluva lot more expensive and dangerous, so there we go). =)

it's mostly 3/8 inch thick floor mats, but there's some 4mm craft foam mixed in there.

I’m sure this has been said many many times already. But PLEASE make the new Captain Enoch helmet!!!?!? I know it’s a storm trooper mixed with a tank or shore trooper and then either samurai or a Venetian style mask. Possibly Roman military. I’m going to be cutting up some of my masks to try and cobble this one together for sure. Anyways, love your work!

Sadly I’m located in the cold dark north (a.k.a. Norway). I tried to find 10mm but alas, all I could Get My hands on was 6mm and 4mm so I got both and I’m hoping it will do. And I pray to the ADHD gods (the old and the new), that My motivation for once can last all through a crafting project so the little guy has something to wear for Halloween. I got the heat gun, and the glue and the little sharp thingys and everything. 🙏🏼✨

@@alvastorli300 Hi, I print directly onto cardstock, which is just thick paper. Like, the durability of index cards. By using cardstock I can skip the cardboard entirely.

I don’t know exactly because I had all of the materials in stock from earlier builds but the number I have in my head is $50. The most expensive part was the shoes which probably put it closer to $100

WOOOOOOOOW I always HAAAATEED the foam costumes but after watcing this..... I think ill start watching some more videos.. (BTW i hated them because they always looked like SHIT and i have 2 3d printers so i always snobed foam...
