CARP FISHING IN LONDON - Night time surface fishing

Жыл бұрынWith one of the hottest summers in UK history, my usual campaign-style angling had to be placed on hold. The night time temperatures were more bearable, so I met up with a few friends at a London dock. The plan was to catch as many carp as possible throughout the hours of darkness, using surface fishing methods. It's safe to say, we didn't get much sleep.

Around 20 years ago as a youngster i used to night surface fish that exact dock in them exact same spots. Great times

Well done lads impressive. The only thing I ever caught in the Thames was a Thames Trout ( that’s a used condom to the unknowing lol) 👍

I grew up fishing on top. Only recently have I started bottom fishing for like a week at a time. Will never beat fishing off the top though.

Have you ever heard of the Aldenham Reservoir? Stories of 40 plus lbs in there and huge pike. 15 miles from central ment to be hard to fish but real nice place!

Thanks mate. Making content is now my full time job. I film and edit for my channel and Nash tackle. I just focus more on campaign style video’s so I can’t post really frequently.

Have you tried fishing the ornament canal, it starts just behind the basin and runs into Wapping. There were some decent 20’s in there when I lived next to it a few years ago

Just a few questions if i may: 1) what licence allows fishing in this doc - the general one for 6p/day enough? 2) what about winter? Worth trying?

All you need is a rod license. It's not easy in the winter but there is bites to be had.

Just need a fishing license, but it's free to fish the basin, no one comes around and asks you to pay for a day ticket.
