I have my sub about 4-5 in from the trunk. I pulled the 6x9s out of the rear deck to let the bass vent into my cabin. Does a 139@30 hz clamping around 750 watts.

I was running 2 vxf 12s on a 3k they seemed to like being faced into the cabin they sounded better and kept pressure but I also have a tiny Elantra so its probably more efficient for him to face the trunk in this big 300. Clean build though 💯

Have 2-12s in a 300 just like this one. Had box facing rear, disappointed. Trunk rattling and flexing but hardly any sound in cabin. Faced them forward all the way to the seats. No gain at all, maybe lost a little. Scooted box backwards but still facing forwards. Picked up big time but trunk rattles where it needs some dynomat

I've got 2 15s in the trunk. My seats fold down so they are facing the cabin. I've noticed it's loudest with passenger window down.

If faced back it best for it to have some way of getting into cabin either take out 6by9s and use for vents

Thats exactly what i got in my car but are 12s. These are the best you can get if on stock only. And they actually sound bigger then they are. My two monster 12s sound like a 15 of other brands. I also got the mmat2000 amp which is higher efficient and never gets hot or any light blinking. I originally wanted two 12s juggernauts but then i found out i cant upgrade my alternator so couldn't. The monster series are called the mini jugs so it was my next best thing down. I can get 146.34 spl with them on stock and its possible to get a little higher if you over power them a little.

I love seeing MMATS equipment being used. We don't see it very often. It's too damn expensive for most people! I've used their amps several times. They're great. And it's pronounced "MATS"

Paying the money forward for highly efficient subs and amps is worth it. My two mmat monster 12s were $400 each and the mmat2000 amp was $900. Im trying to find a place now that'll do a cheap infinite baffle setup like very cheap that is as long as its sealed off.

Facing it forward screw a template around the opening cut holes for it put sub box and subs through holes then it’s sealed off so all pressure is coming to you

I have a charger with 2 10’s I have a my box as close to the trunk lid as possible and my port is on the right side with my right side of the seat down. That bring the pressure into the cab of the car. I moved my latch down a little to close the trunk better as dynamat everywhere

I've only had trunk cars. It always sounded best with the box about a foot away from the trunk lid, sub and port firing against the rear of the car, rather than into the cabin. I also made sure to leave good space around the box to let the sound into the cabin.

That's exactly how i got my box. I've messed around moving the box around including turning it almost sideways so the area mimics a horn but its not a good position in my opinion. But i do want to turn my box so the drivers face the cabin just to see what it will do. Sometimes when in certain cars turning it where the drivers face inside the car theres a chance that the bass matches close to your cars inner frequency which creates more low bass and less rattling.

@@JeffMcDuffie72MeridianGate A lot of competitors with trunks fire the subs and port into the cabin. They say it's necessary to seal the trunk off from the cabin in a forward firing setup. It becomes like a half wall at that point, I guess. I've never done it that way. But from what I've seen, it works well.

I always put my subs facing are weird. I don't know, for me. It just has I guess like a base reflex to it. And it sounds better that's just my personal preference. I've got two kicker comp gold 10s on a rockville audio 800 1 ohm in an 03 grand marquis. Kicker really did good with these subs i want l7 15s but im happy with the sound n ppl think i got 15s lol they hit very hard n sound super clean

if subs are faceing back and can put back seat down i have 2 different methods if either i put a big port in the middle of the deck lid or 2 ports one on each side in the back deck lid or just take the speakers out of back deck lid and just run door speakers

I slide the box like 6 inches closer to trunk with my wife's 2 crossfire 12s and that sounded alot better for her setup in her challenger and i tried subs facing forward and that didn't sound as good.

I really like this setup I am to in the market for a better system. Currently right now I have 1 10inch NVX VCW102 @ 750 RMS WATTS. I am wanting to do a setup like this due to me needing room in my trunk also. I want 2 10's at 1000 RMS Each anyone have some ideas of what would be good in a 2016 Nissan Altima? Thanks Jacob for the video and also Bill. I also have a couple videos on my channel if y'all would check out and give some advice much appreciated.

Let's put this into perspective I have about 32 inches wide in my trunk and about 17 Inch in depth and only 15 inch's high.

Yes they are. The 12s monsters ive seen hit up to 147 spl and plus you can put a little more power to them also so yeah its all competition. Definitely not Walmart subs.
