Local stereo guy back in 1992 had 4-6.5" kickers in his tire well of a Ford Escort GT. Didn't even know he had a system until he turned it up. He metered 134 on the headrest sealed. He had a PPI pro mos 50 running everything in the car. Mids highs subs... Everything. Those little 6.5s hit good amazing it takes 2000 watts today to achieve the same thing

I like massive audio, great brand and a reasonable price, my buddy has a summo 8 in his crew cab Duramax, and it's not crazy loud but when you find out is 1 8 it kinda drops your jaw, you would not expect it to drop that low on a few hundred watts, its kinda impressive lol.

I have had my first Massive for about 2 months now. It’s. SUMMO XL 12. Got it brand new on a trade and I am very impressed. Doesn’t have much of a tight punchy sound (which I don’t want) but instead a warm gurthy whole sound. CRUSHES LOWS

8 inch subwoofers are excellent 4 small trucks you can get some pretty heavy-duty 8 inch subs behind the seat compared to some bigger diameter Subs

I've always wanted to-do a set up with a bunch of 6 and a half inch and 8 inch subwoofers, but never had the nerve to change my existing setup, I remember seeing a build in a Honda Civic with six 8 JL w6s and I fell in love with it, and of course this was back in the 90s LOL

I tried a couple builds with 8’s and 6.5’s and was upset to hear a lot of mechanical noise wasn’t happy with them I’ll stick to my 15’s

Xmax vs cone area. An 8 would have to move like 3-4 times as much as a 15 to create equal pressure differential. More xmax=more distorting and movement

A subs impedance say is a 4 ohm (example) it's not always exact. May show 4.2 or so or maybe even 3.8. That's probably how he ended up 1ohm.

I dont understand why people say its impodsible for someone getting to 150 dbs but as of now i hit 86 to 88 with my one 12 power acoustik gothica set to 50 to 70 on amg pioneer amp and on my hu at 50. Definataly i like the 6.5 and 8 had 2 of them and hit 145 dbs when i first started but i payed 200 a piece on mine i forgot the name had to much air in box and messed them up

2 10" is a lot more cone area than 1 8" so if you got the optimal box space for a custom box tuned right the 2 10s anyday will win.

Never going under 10'', you have one subwoofer 8'' and an another one same model but in 10'',you will have exactly the same kind of sound but even more low end response and maybe win a bit spl

You can't. The guy in video is not at 1 ohm. He doesn't know what he is talking about. It isn't important to be at 1 ohm. Just get a strong enough amp. It will probably be at 1.6 ohm. You need 4 dual 4 subs to get 1 ohm.

Not a chance a 15 has less than 15 sq in surface area, 3x8 =24 ( a bit less , maybe 22) sq in surface area. That's the ability to move more air. 15 may play a bit deeper bc of more come area but a good 8 will chew on the mid 20hz with no issues.

Sorry for being confusing, during the Demo I thought they were 6.5" but looking into them the 8" have double stitched surrounds while 6.5s are single stitched plus have a slightly smaller surround is how I can tell they are 8" as the title describes. Thanks for watching!

My 4 hds2.108s will upset you AND your 2 12s lol.. 8s r nasty if in right box with enuff port area, I have double recommended port area and about .80 cubes per sub on 3k and I'll upset a pair of 15s even down at 28hz.
