I meant in this occasion Kallis has opted for Akram ahead of McGrath for variation. And that as Pollock and McGrath have a similar style(line,length,bounce,seam etc) Akram is different in the fact that he bowls faster and swings the ball either ways. If i had to choose an opening bowling partnership I'd go with (Ambrose or McGrath) with Akram.

So think well if wasim take 3 waqar take 3 and imran take 3 in early stages latter wasim 2 waqar 2 saqlain 2 shoaib Akthar 2. But McGrath and Ambrose didn't have much pair to share the wickets. I mean if wasim there as the only special bowler in his time in his team he would have more wickets available even if other bowlers have bowled 100 overs together but case is different. I say the total wicket is 10 and need to share between 3 or great bowlers. In wasim nd waqar career Total wickets 10 not always share the wickets with other bowlers.in McGrath and Ambrose case Same happened with murali.
