I mostly buy figures of IPs I care about, but every once in a while I’ll pick up something that just looks really nice. Which is how JoyToy sucked me into the Warhammer 40K rabbit hole.

I share your enthusiasm 100%. Jada just gets it, and I am legitimately so excited for the supposed deluxe and color varations they are doing for the street fighter line.

I love that Jada is focusing on Capcom characters. Hoping we get a Resident Evil or a DMC.. And by the look of how they handle action figures, I wouldn’t mind a Monster Hunter down the line..

It’s funny because I became aware of Jada’s figure sculpting via their toy cars, my dad collects them and each one has a little figurine and at 1/32 and 1/24 scale they’re extremely well made, so it doesn’t surprise me that their figures are on point.

I love how seamless looking they made the ankle tilt. Still, would've been willing to sacrifice that slightly for better hinging back and forth. Really impressive release overall!

I'm sorry if this has already been said, but you can swap the mega buster with either arm and as far as I can tell the right and left arm are identical to one another. The only thing differentiating them is the hands

All in on this and the Street Fighter lines. I usually don't buy recolors, but it looks like an unmasked Mega Man is coming with a Met figure, and if they all get pack ins like that, then I'll be getting every one.

Jada just comes out of nowhere and makes a fool out of these huge companies. I for one am very excited to see what they put out in the future. These MM figures are fantastic for being 20 bucks. I bought all 3 and didn't even go beyond double digits. With everything getting so expensive, that just feels great.

I think what you said in the video basically answers the question of the day. I didn't grow up playing Mega Man or Street Fighter (and still don't really care about them), but the quality of Jada Toys' output for the price point has been insane. I honestly might just start collecting their lines since they're so cost effective and they look so nice.

As far as MvC displays go, the D-arts is the one that matches that sprite and art style the most. I know most wont be ale to track it down, let alone drop the $ for its overinflated aftermarket price. With that being said: THIS is solid as hell for a $20 Megaman figure. Ordered one for me and my son. Cant wait to get em in hand.

Id love if Jada got a hold of the Crash Bandicoot license!

I support good figures, especially when they’re reasonably priced. I’m not into SF and Megaman is okay but I’ve bought every figure Jada has put out so far because they are awesome. And since I basically quit Marvel Legends I’m actually saving money now! I’d LOVE Jada to get the Marvel license.

Got mine last week..love him..and the sf line. Jada are the best thing to happen to action figures in a long time. What they are giving us for the price point is incredible.

As someone who's loved mega man games since the nes era, I'm just so happy with these figures. My only worry is that due to capcom's negligence of the brand, it won't sell enough to reach its full potential.

I hope they do everything they can from this line! There are dozens of Mega Man games, robot masters, mavericks, reploids, etc. Make them all! We'll buy em :)

Honestly most of the properties I care for and/or am nostalgic about are pretty well represented now, so more and more cool stuff keeps entering the collection. I dabble in ' looks too cool to not buy play with ' but try to live by attachment to the character. I look forward to the X suits and villains but this looks like a super solid normal mega man. Lots of MM options out there, i lived vicariously through my buddy in regard to playing the games but still as a result am into it all. I used to have some D arts MM figs many moons ago. The other newest offerings look awesome too, 3zero, the model kits etc

I absolutely love the Jada Toys Street Fighter line. Thats why i wanted to give this Megaman figure a chance even though i wasnt into the game. I was on the fence but Anthony just sold me on it.

I got mine in a couple days ago and love it. Haven't displayed him yet because he's so much fun. It's pleasant to get such fantastic figures without paying import prices.

I mostly buy things I care about (godzilla, DC, Predator), but if a figure is solid I will go for it, I have the jada ryu and chun-li because they are awesome, but I don't care about street fighter

For the question of the day, I’d say about 90% of the things I buy are from things I know/enjoy while the other 10% follow the rule of cool. Also seeing Jada do such a good job with their Capcom stuff makes want to seem tackle other properties as well. I’d love to see them (or anyone really) make figures based on the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series (especially with how popular it’s gotten in the west recently).

I buy from IPS I know. That way, my collection can have more personal meaning. I generally don't prescribe the "rule of cool" since that can lead to a never-ending rabbit hole of impulse purchases and "cool" being a vague term. However, cool character designs like the Gargoyles will get a purchase out of me, even though I'm not super into them. The figures did get me into watching the show though. If you like this Megaman, you should see the Chester Cheetah by Jada. Basically covered head to toe in paint, fun accessories, and great sculpting. He's the 2nd purchase I made from Jada and it certainly won't be the last.

I’m not the biggest fan of Mega Man, I have played a few of the games and beat 11, but I got this anyway. Partly because I like the character design but mostly because I knew Jada wasn’t messing around. He has been on my desk for a solid week now and I love it! He hits every pose I could possibly want him in, and comes with the perfect amount of accessories. The Megabuster works fine on either arm since the hinge goes both ways. I hope this line gets to more of the prominent characters like Proto Man, Bass, or even Roll and Auto. Heck, I’d take a Rock at this point!

I couldn’t agree more with you. This is what every 20-25$ action figure should be like, the points of articulation are the “basics”at the end of the day, but the execution it’s whats make this so worthy. I also think the main point here is that we can all see a REAL commitment with their work, which nowadays seems to be too much to ask for…

The first wave of this line alone surpasses any Hasbro figure line for me. I am so excited for wave 2, 3, and everything beyond

I mostly buy based on IP, but quite some years ago I began to buy Mythic Legions figures. After this, I also began to buy figures if they look cool or if people recommend it a lot. I have no attachment to GI Joe, but I bought Snake Eyes because he looked cool and people said he was a really fun figure. He's now one of my favorite figures ever, because he has a ton of different weapons and the articulation to pose with all of them. I love mythic legions figures, and those are all original to the 4H. I mostly buy knights, because I love knights and there simply aren't enough figures of them. Weirdly enough, my favorite ML so far is Duban, a ranger. But ML are such quality products, that when you buy one, you feel your money's worth. They feel like art pieces, not toys. And they're getting better and better with each wave they put out. I only wish they were easier to buy. Some are sold exclusively on their own store and as an international collector, it makes it very dificult and expensive thanks to my country's custom fees. I heard all the buzz around Jada's street fighter line, and your review of Chun Li convinced me to get her. She's awesome, really fun to pose around, pretty cute too, and honestly, even though I have never played SF before, I'm thinking of getting more figures of the characters I find interesting. I even want the P2 version of Chun Li, just for that smiling head! I'm also now looking forward to their Cyberpunk figures, but I did like the series beforehand, so... Either way, if a figure looks cool and is a good, fun figure to pose and play with, I will be interested. Sorry for the long answer!

This was the first action figure I bought from Jada Toys. I'm hoping to collect Ryu and Chun-Li from the Street Fighter line. I'm also hoping they’ll make figures based on Devil May Cry. I also don't mean to correct you but I'm pretty sure you should be able to put the buster on both arms.

Just got mine. Its fantastic! The hinge joint on the buster bends equally each direction so you can plug it in and swivel the buster to get the yellow meter facing on the outside on the right arm then just bend the elbow the other way

Can't wait for more, classic mega man has so many fantastic designs that are perfect for figures and the cheap recolor mega man himself option is literally built into the games.

I like these Mega Man figures from Jada Toys. I have Ice Man and Fire Man from BBTS and received them 2 days ago for $19.99 each. I have Mega Man on order. I was surprised by the joints. They're pretty good compared to "BST AXN" figures of this size and price point. I still don't know if my Ice Man figure is missing his ice rocket propeller effects or what. I ended up using the "Eternimum Rock" from MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection Trap-Jaw as the rocket effect. It plugs right into Ice Man's ice rocket backpack.

Anthony, watching your channel made it really difficult for me to sell some of my collections because of your opinions of what makes a figure great that's well worth the buck and I have been following that trend closely. So far I like to dabble between IPs that I care about and sometimes I buy random figures because of the cool factor BUT I always prioritize articulation and proportion above all else.

Someone's probably said this, but the buster can go on either arm, the hinge is cut to function the exact same either way you bend it.

As of lately I collect only what im attached too and I need/get the best available at an affordable price. Preorder this guy the second I saw it for my Smashbros display! I can keep my Darts Megaman in the Megaman/MegamanX display permanently now.

I really appreciate that the MSRP is $20 versus the $25 for Street Fighter since the figures are smaller and made with less plastic. Every other company would charge the full $25. Hasbro charges the same price for Jawas and Ewoks that they do for full size figures.

I usually buy figures of characters/from media i like, and i sorta have a quota like "i gotta get at least one wolverine" or whatever But there have been a few i got just because they looked really cool. The ML Spiral from last year i didnt know about the character but it was such a cool design i got it But this MegaMan was an instant pre order, I dont like megaman enough to get an expensive import but i do like him and i love doing MvC displays so a good-looking $20 figure? Hell yeah

I need to point out that if you have any issues or defects on any Jada figure. There customer service puts all others to shame. They will replace the figure. I know this from experience with my Ryu. And they will make sure what they send you has no defects at all. Talk about a brand you do not have to worry about. If anything goes wrong they got you. So you can get those other Megaman replaced if you want. Just take a photo, and email it to customer service with your address. I assure you and give you my word they will take care of you. I mean on top of their work they have amazing customer service that takes full responsibility for any defect. And that tells me Jada is going to progress as they go along. Answer to your question. I lean more toward IP I'm attached to. I'm hoping Jada does DarkStalkers too. I want Iceman I love this Megaman. Hmm they did that with the arm blaster cause he only ever has one in the game. But I get what you mean. that would make fun pictures. Anyway, I'm gonna get Iceman too. Even though the expression on his face makes me think he only says," OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!" Also I hope they make Rush soon. Rush is his doggie. But we have Cutman and Elecman, Bubbleman and Woodman coming in. And I can't wait to get my Ken for Street Fighter next month.

I've had this in my Pile of Loot at Big Bad for awhile now and just got it in yesterday - what a terrific little figure! I love the finish, the articulation is appropriate for the character, and the accessories are lovely. Only thing I'd have changed is maybe instead of two heads Jada could have gone with faceplates. That would have allowed them to include different expressions with the variants we're sure to get in different colors. They're new to this game though so give them a little time and they'll figure out how to properly extract more money out of the consumer.

I just got Mega Man today. My fave Mega Man is X so I really hope they do one. For the most part, as of 2023 I started to cut back and mostly buy figures of IPs I care about, but every once in a while I’ll get tempted into getting something even if I "sorta" like it or it just looks cool and doesn't leave me broke for 7 days. I have my favorite stuff displayed and about 60% of my collection is put away in totes/drawers. So I literally don't have much spare display or storage space.

I used to get only stuff I cared about - Star Wars, Transformers, Zelda etc. But I recently started picking up stuff that just look like interesting examples of what can be done in the industry, like these Jada Toys ones. Like I have played and like Street Fighter and a good number of the Mega Man games, but I've passed on all other figures until these guys came along. Grabbed some import stuff too, some Batman and Overwatch, neither of which I'm particularly into either.

I collect figures that represent characters and stories that I love! Even within a line I'm not a completionist nor I want to be one, but once in a while I'll get stuff that just looks cool to me! Example: Jada Street Fighter figs, the McFarlane Ghost Maker and that ML Death's Head II

A little of both. I've bought stuff out of hype, but i personally couldn't care less about (Chester Cheetah). I've bought cool artsy stuff like the 1000 Toys Humanoids. My collection is compromise mostly of characters I like.

Generally i buy things I care about but some of my favorites are rule of cool figures. Budget ends up really heavily influencing that. Favorites and IP get priority but if a figure is just great and I can afford it, I'll definitely pick it up. A good figure is a good figure.

I've tended to buy action figures related to films or tv shows I like. In my college days (back in the 1990's) a mate had a SNES games console. A few of us would play Street Fighter on it. I wasn't massively into it, but Jada's figures interested me. Top notch articulation. Shading on the figure. Texture on the clothing. Alt head and hands, and a power effect piece. I only have Fei Long. Hopefully Chun Li is on the way. Even Hasbro's better figures often lack paint, accessories, or have hindered articulation.

7:10 I thought the same thing and i've made a research about the cannon. I've found in different artworks that MM has the buster in both hands, and the interesting is that the cannon can be used in the right hand or the left hand according the official profile of the chararcter.

So I collect stuff based generally on the line, I love the storm MK and Golden Axe lines and I buy every release. I have picked up a few Jada SF figures and impressed for what they are. Price vs quality etc they are top nothc. Also always like to see a good guyver or megaman X figure so I grab those when I get the chance.

The buster can actually go either side if you flip it. Whenever it appears on his right the yellow meter is also on the outside

i collect figures because i grew up with the characters, however i do tend to hold on certain ones because: - poorly made either from articulation or quality. - They only make the main character but not the rest of the cast therefore its incomplete yet another company is doing everyone. - price is a major factor on some of my decisions on how expensive is the figure and what it brings. I have to give respect to jada toys for doing not only the street fighters but as well megaman, heck i never expected they would do the robot masters and that for me is a big plus since not many of not all the companies does them. i hope they do more of megaman's enemies as well crossing fingers for a Dr Light and Dr. Wily figures. If they ever do Megaman X(my favorite megaman version) then i hope they do the maverick bosses and if they do then that is gonna be wild.

Sometimes, if the “thing” is cool, then I can overlook some of the flaws of a product. If a character is one that I do like, I’ll be more critical if the product isn’t up to par. Makes me also happier if it’s good (Dread Samus). I’m waiting for the Cammy release for Jada. If Storm makes her SF6 variant, I might get it.

I usually only characters I know and like however if I see a cool figure I will look into that characters/line to see if it's something I'd be into and will start that line might be odd but it's how I do it

QOTD: I collect things I care about. Luckily some of those things are SF and Mega Man. My only nitpick with Jada is I really want their distribution to get better. I have to get them from Amazon or Big Bad…which is fine, but I have not seen a single figure of theirs here in PA. And I haven’t seen anyone being able to find their figures in this state on collector boards either.. I would prefer to find things in store because I like to check for paint issues and whatnot. Thankfully I haven’t had any issues with the SF stuff and the Megaman wave is on the way from Amazon (although it is seemingly saying random times in March.. Hence my wish for better distribution.) But if Jada keeps this up they will quickly become the only line I end up collecting outside of TMNT

On the Japanese box art of 1, 2, 9, and 10 Mega Man has no Buster equipped, 3-7 feature him with the Buster on his left. 8 and Rockman and Forte, and 11 show him with the Buster being on his right. So I think it's safe to say his buster can swap between his hands. Mega Man from Legends is exclusively left-handed along with Starforce. And Battle Network is usually right handed. It's weird lol. Also, the only time Mega Man (or X) is seen with 2 Busters simultaneously is in X2 and X3 where the arm upgrade gives him a double charge shot, but Classic Mega Man never had such a thing.

I tend to lean towards stuff I care about, but if a figure is damn cool, I'll go for it. Case in point..I just grabbed an Apollo Astrobot along with the Wasp and Tarantula astrobots. It's outside of what I normally go after, but they are so cool! I had this megaman figure preordered, but backed off because in the end, the Megaman X series is what I prefer the most. I am going all in on the street fighter figures though.

This line has me excited to have some good Mega Man figures, especially after having thr really old model kits 20ish years ago. I will probably just get the first game releases, though. I do wish we had another facial expeession for when he was jumping since i think it was an open mouth

the buster is symmetrical so can be used on either side. i didnt wanna comment til i got it myself to confirm. just turn it around works perfectly. aside from non teal blues, my only complaint was that the head could've been about 20% smaller, so it fits more games than just the nes chibi version like the megaman and base version or mvc1 version. also not a double joint in site, and im getting nearly every pose i want. i hope they do X its be my perfect figure

Not my cup of tea; but a great-looking figure, and I hope it incentivizes more companies to improve the quality of their figures at this price point. To answer your qotd: I mainly just collect characters that appeal to me; like 90% of my humble collection. But I do have the odd figure I’ve bought just because I like the figure (you’ve actually convinced me a couple times!)

Biggest problem with high poa is a loss of durability

I mostly go for IPs I care about, but a good monster or robot can get my attention, especially if I can put them with characters I love.

Jada is a die cast company. They make tons of die cast mini figs as well as model cars. I would love to see some die cast in their action figure lines too. Mega man would’ve been a perfect place to start that. They had some metal chains n stuff in their Frankie fig. Make mega mans helmet or blaster or boots or something metal. Maybe they didn’t want to totally embarrass all the other domestic lines?

I had megaman 6 as a kid and mostly sucked at it. The one boss i was able to heat was the one that gave megaman the green powerup, which is why i have nostalgic attachment to the green recolor of megman they are releasing in the next wave.

Both. If it’s cool or an IP I like I’m interested. I’ll purchase it depending on the price and the promo images. I have passed on figures of characters I really like. Because of something like limited articulation or steep prices.

I do have figures of stuff I care about because I happen to think there cool/ are a good representation of the character. However, I do also buy figures a lot of the time just because I think it looks cool. I have 0 history with Mega man and I don't even enjoy the games but I think the designs are cool and cute. The fact that they are now being released as both very affordable and good figures by Jada is a satisfying purchase for me. Cant go wrong with £50 for a whole wave of figures. And I think the way I like to think of it is sometimes its ok to be a fan of a franchise as a brand rather than coming to it for the central thing there known for. Another example would be Warhammer which I do not play but like hearing about the lore and own a Joytoy Salamander cause its a good looking figure and the designs cool :D I will say I really enjoy companies that make OC's as its something new and fresh I haven't experienced before such as Snail Shell.
