It's played mainly by (probably modern replica) of an ancient Chinese instrument called bianzhong (编钟). Basically it's a big wooden stand with a set bronze bells of different pitches hung on it. The oldest existing complete bianzhong set dates back to 430 BC and is still playable.

I believe it is technically Herblord's, though Baizhu made more appearances which is why he overshadows Changsheng with this leitmotif. It is Herblord's leitmotif

11:40 This is literally an Ico song. It’s so weirdly beautiful and somber like looking up into the night sky and realizing that constellations are slowly fading out, but it’s kind of beautiful because those stars, though now gone, will turn into supernovas.

Im surprised no one's talking about 16:40 and 18:12. I find it incredibly beautiful how the violin sounds so mysterious and lost and yet gives the feelings of confidence. In 18:12 hearing the cello and more violins come in with the deep beat of the drum was perfectly constructed. I wish it was just a little longer. It left me wanting to hear more.

8:15 makes me feel things everytime I hear it. It sounds archaic, ethereal, and a bit supernatural. Combined with the terrace reveal, it's high up on the list with chasm's deep end, gates to enkanomiya, and eternal oasis.
