Nah bro Dre did it to himself, he pulled up, spoke to, his girl (ik that’s not his girl but that would be my mindset in the situation, and if somebody talked to my girl like that and it looked like she was feelin him, TOUCHED HIS HAIR I’d be a lil pressed too, so he checked her, in my mind “oh he just checked his girl, ima get up outta here find somebody else w/o a man”) But he tried to save her and got rocked, and it’s not like Cheng straight up started beating up on him, he countered and parried Dre for the most part, he ain’t do no serious damage to him just dropped him to the floor, if he stayed down, or got up like “nah u got it I’m not fighting over a woman” then that whole thing could have been avoided, but pride made him have to get that ONE good hit in and once he did Cheng was NOT having it. Now Cheng was a lil OD in the school knocking Dre’s plate over and all that, but he kept messing with the girl, Cheng woulda prolly left him alone if it wasn’t for that, and after the plate got knocked over cheng straight up went to Dre like “stay away from us, all of us.” Did he listen? No. Instead he poured water on the dude, got jumped for it, and then played victim to Mr.Han like he ain’t deserve it

I remember feeling so bad for Dre when the movie first came out because Cheng was beating the shit out of him. This made me really root for him to learn Kung Fu and fight back against his bullies to earn respect. Even during the tournament, Cheng kept looking at Dre trying to intimidate him. There used to be a time where you beef, fight it out, shake hands and walk away. Nowadays people's egos are so fragile they have to have a knife or gun on them at all times, plus if you start to win the fight, his or her friends will just jump you. The lesson to be learned is if you got bitch in you, get rid of it. Learning martial arts is very important for everyone, you never know when you might face a psycho-ass dude like Cheng and if it happens will you be like Jackie Chan schooling your opponent or like Dre crying holding your arms up in a awkward fighting stance?
