this comment just answered part of my question. Assume sound captured from Gopro or similar then you align and merge over your drone footage. Next level editing. @@windsurfer

Tech question: does the rider wear a mic? I don't imagine the drone sound would work. The end result is fantastic though, like being there in the moment.

A good example of why windsurf jumps are real (like snowboard or MTB) and kitesurfing "hanging" is not. Speed + ramp = 100kg of stuff hurtling up and crashing down. Dangling from a string is not the same.
