Well... Just one mistake would've change all. And It was two months before the war. Hitler asked twice (something that never happened before and after) Poland to help fighting the communists (whole war was aimed to crush communism), and he was certain to the point, that when Józef Beck refused again and again, Hitler went mad and Poland became the enemy. Germans needed to sacrifice time, resources and so on to fight and lost their element of surprise, because even stupid can put up a conclusion, that in reality Germans had no reason to attack a very neutral and anti communist country. Sad but true. Later USA helped to save the communists to fight against them in Korea, Vietnam etc...
