Great video illustrating that the trap itself is not almighty, and unfortunately that there are educated adult hogs out there that require manual intervention to remove. Still, your company's methodological trapping saved a lot of work for both Lance and the farmer, and resulted in 100% sounder removal. You gotta rib Lance about adding a second drop gate next time though.

got the whole sounder. good job. not sure what state this is, but it would be interesting to know what the population estimate is there, the number needed to reach to reach neutral population growth. the numbers are huge and capturing whole sounders is of great importance. that phrase Lance said, it's not how many you catch, it's how few you miss. sounders vary in size and getting the whole sounder or as close to as possible is the key. good job

Have your company researchers tried to use pig vocalizations to attract more pigs into the trap? Maybe happy pig vocalizations will cause the pigs to ignore warning calls from the cautious pig.

Yes, the meat is edible, just be sure to cook it to an internal temperature of 165 degrees. Feral pigs are known to carry bacterial diseases.

Not worth it. Wild pigs tend to be riddled with worms and they breed disgustingly fast and young. I'd rather just eat them right there when they're dispatched. After all, what's better than suckling pig?

They are eaten when they can be, but our goal is to control the population. Eating them is just a bonus. They are an invasive species that cause billions of dollars in agricultural damage.
